I feel as if I need to give it another chance.

I just don't want to have my heart broken twice.

on a very basic level, places such as DD, Taco Bell are microwaving frozen eggs

at least White Castle is cracking a fresh egg

That crunchwrap thing is not too bad ... particularly in light of the fact I don't care for the co-mingling of potatoes into other foods generally. Their steak breakfast burrito isn't really all that bad either ... no worse than McDonald's, perhaps better.

Having them with some diet Mt. Dew covers a lot of sins too.

I was under the false assumption we were going by taste, not by critiquing fast food preparation methods.

um, such preparations are kind of important when determining taste, no ?

i'm fairly certain if given a blind taste test, the majority of people could tell the difference between freshly made eggs and ones reheated from frozen . its very obvious

i realize its fast food. all fast food is shit. on some level. doesn't mean some isn't better than others. and i'm not talking "oh place X uses black pepper and a hint of paprika in their sausage", i'm talking fresh vs. frozen....

Kramer: It's all fresh. Fresh fish, fresh fowl, fresh fruit. I buy it, I omniga nominga, I eat it.

And yet a sausage egg mcmuffin remains one of the foods all other foods are judged by.

I'll get White Castle breakfast next week (it has been awhile) and update this post with my full review.

edit: Pretty small menu, no?

Dunkin Donuts uses "real egg"

They are pre-cooked and refrigerated. And according to Google, there are a lot of hardcore DD egg fans.

Well, that is all the research I need.

"pre-cooked and refrigerated" is a lot different than cracking a fresh egg and cooking it to order, which is what White Castle does.

What the hell, Don?

My standard classic diner breakfast is a skillet of some kind. Lately I've been on the old country skillet of hash browns, sausage, country gravy and various veggies with some extra gravy on the side. That's some solid hangover food.

And you can tell how experienced the waitress is by if she asks if you want hot sauce, or she can just take a look at you and know that you want hot sauce. Cause you want it for sure.

My favorite Breakfast hole in the wall place is Steak N Egger. I prefer the one on 31st and Ogden, but there is also one in the city on Cermak and Loomis that gets the job done.

+1 on this.

White Castle bacon egg and cheese is miles better than anything else you can get at a rival fast foot restaurant.

Except for Hardee's, McDonalds, and Chick Fil A. Small print, but necessary.

I've eaten White Castle breakfast 3 times now. The chicken waffle sandwiches are decent. Overall, average. Not as good as Hardee's or Chick fil A. On par with McD's.

I'm going to try Taco Bell breakfast again today and hope it got better.
