Here we are, a full week of the surrogate band and it's been pretty damn good. A solid pairing, maybe these two found their careers as common ground and decided to bury the hatchet? Interviews still aren't very good and Meats humor leaves a lot to be desired but he has been pretty on point. Perhaps he has the fire in the belly? Did they cut out the deadwood? With Mac gone for a long, long time I guess it's time to find out where you fans really stand.

I don't know, can it continue?

Happy Friday

Being a loyal listener to Danny Mac, I will listen to his show wherever he winds up broadcasting. I don't believe in being a loyal listener to a station, if that station provides inferior programming. the Score offers little of interest without Mac. I will listen to Mully and Hanley a bit in the morning and then it's off to ESPN and then The Game. If WSCR does not retain Mac, they do not retain me as a listener.

I followed Mac to ESPN and then back to the Score. I have similar sentiments as I am a dedicated Mac ALS'er. I wear Anti-Gloopan underwear.

I think it's a largely unrecognized moment in rock history when the oompah band plays In The Flesh.

If one of our resident rockers opened their show with that song, I might go to see it.

How could this duo, in any realm of the multiverse, be considered a good listen? Someguy has been doing whippits again.

The stream has been awful this week so I have been wearing a black arm band for Mac in the office and listening
to music. I'll try to tune in next week and see how it sounds. I need something during the afternoon and not sure
Meat and Drinky will fill the bill. Is that going to be the new lineup for the foreseeable future? Did they address this?

Great.

Rozner is in. An entire day of him carrying Theo's water and running cover for the Cubs. I'm sure he will explain "The Plan" to us over and over and telling us he is the only one in Illinois who understands it.

One of the few places where I agree with Rozner is on the Cubs plan and their need to blow it up and start over. To Rozner's credit he always advocated that approach in the Hendry years, and he has stuck with it. I feel exactly the same way.

Any mention of his Baseball Optimism Plan or whatever the hell it's called? That bit is right up there with his meatball voice in terms of quality radio.

It's funny; Brehmer probably eats/drinks way more than Spiegel does.
