He's gone, he ain't never comin' back so you can all stop breathing and sweating so heavily.

Who is in today? I don't know, it's a surprise. Maybe it's Matt and Matty? Maybe Rozner is in to tell us ONCE AGAIN what "THE PLAN" is for the Cubs. Hey, Rozner....there is no PLAN, no secret stuff, no super computer, no nothing. All the tricks and loop holes that were exploited via international slotting and draft shenanigans have been done away with. There isn't a couple once in a generation STEROID FREAKS in the middle of the line-up and there isn't a gigantic bottomless pit of money to spend. Have you ever cared to explain those little details? No? Then shut the fuck up and wipe Theo's man sauce off of your face. You're pathetic.

SHOW:
SOX BAD, Attendance talk.
Cubs! THE PLAN IS IN FULL GEAR. Only Rozner and BernSTINE know what the Plan is you idiots!
Bears? To the shows credit the collective have admitted openly that this time of year (read: non-regular season) sucks and there is never really anything interesting to report or talk about.
BULLS? Melo, Love etc. Things may or may not be taking shape. I have a feeling that Uncle Jerry has Ron Mercer on speed dial!

Listen in.

Regards,

SomeGuy

Power hitting when everyone else is drafting pitching. So far, so good, but they will look like Harveys Wallbangers at the MLB level if it all plays out correctly.

Pretty sure Grote is co-hosting this week.

So much for doing the right thing. Probably holding out for 180 days of vacation; currently only getting 160.

Nothing wrong with that. Show sounds good so far.

I think that whenever Meat is matched up with McNeil or Rozner, or during tranny he tries too hard to be "clever" or funny in an effort to match wits, and usually ends up failing miserably. When put with someone like a Grote that isn't one of the "stars", and isn't as "schticky" (except for the impressions), he seems more relaxed and at ease, which makes for a better listen. I even liked some of what I heard from the Meat and Matty shows - when they are not cat-fighting, or failing at trying to be funny, they have actually been decent more often than I expected.

If Spiegel was on his shit, he could be making a parody song "We couldn't beat Royals" to the tune of Lorde's "Royals".

Cubs fan Spiegel: "We'll talk about the Sox losses and they're now in last place. We'll also talk about the Cubs losses, which of course don't matter."

Has anyone listened to Larry's new morning show, which I affectionately refer to as WAKE THAT?? Does he have his fingers on THE PULSE of Chicago sports, or perhaps was he taking a hit off of Michael Phelps' bong when he decided to take this gig?

I didn't want to start a new thread for this. Did anyone hear Hit and Run on Sunday? That was quite possibly the worst broadcast of all time.

When are they finally going to change the name of the station to 670 The Plan?

DETAILS

Well, they kept making dumb mistakes like saying Rain (Wayne) Randazzo or forgetting to turn their mics on during interviews. Then they just joked all show about their mistakes. Rozner blamed a long workweek for the mistakes. It was a train wreck.

Only problem is that this station is supposed to be WSOX per board experts who know far better than me. I'd conjecture to guess that the "plan worship" is part of the broader initiative to be in the good graces of the local sorts teams by speaking truth to power (in other words: that the power is 100% correctly doing the right thing) because I think right now only the Bulls are getting some kind of scrutiny because their plan to build a Super-Try-Hard team around Derrick Rose has fallen flat on its face the last few years.

However, being that this is the "Golden Age of GMs" in Chicago I wouldn't be surprised if their next couple'a draft picks are exalted as great upside moves by our sports thought gatekeepers.
