I don't think that. Without having the numbers (does anyone?) I assume they are similar.

I don't think it's even close, but with the way sports are consumed these days it's hard to tell for certain. One thing that MLB is ahead of the curve on is their mobile application. MLB At-Bat is a killer.

All the major sports leagues have these apps.

Sure, but I don't think that with the way people consume the NBA or NFL such an app works as well.

But to circle back to the way the games are viewed, I think a lot changed in the Jordan era. "Posterizing" a guy became more important than winning. A guy knifing through the lane for a vicious slam suddenly became seen as "better" than a 7'1" center who shot 68% from the field or a shooter who could knock down 40% from three point range. There is a lot of truth to what Billy said about guys preferring to look good and lose.

But if someone watches baseball on a mobile app, doesn't that mean he is a fan of smartphones rather than baseball?

If that's the only way he ever watches and he builds his week around watching on his smartphone, yeah.

So there's no difference between the guy who watches 30 hours of porn on his smartphone every week and the guy who watches 6 baseball games on his smartphone every week, eh? They're both just fans of smartphones?

I don't care enough about this topic to discuss it for more than a sentence or two, but your argument is pretty nutty.

Do you really think that's true? And how many people watch baseball on computers or smartphones, MLB At-Bat?

I absolutely think it's true
Wrong. I would bet an insane amount of money that at least 50.01% of Americans could name at least one MLB player. You would see Derek Jeter listed a lot of times, but they could name a player.

They used to be able to, and that's why I think the Jeter example is very fitting. Ask them to name a player under 30.

People will be naming Jeter and Arod for the next 5 years.

Ah, changing the parameters to fit your argument.

Ask them to name "a handful" of hoops players other than LeBron or Wade. I would say "a handful" would be 4 or more. Not gonna happen, leash.

I'm nit changing the parameters. There's a lot who could name Jeter, agreed. But that's very telling. Jeter is ancient.

Who are you referring to with this post? You couldn't be more wrong. If anything Jordan raised the bar for winning, not highlights. Six titles as the best player on all of them is a pretty damn high standard. It's why LeBron has won two rings and many people still don't think of him as a winner. Vince Carter's career is used as a punchline. There's really no basis of truth in your post, as far as I can tell.

You ever talk to people who are like hardcore porn fans? By which, of course, I mean hardcore fans of porn, not fans of hardcore porn, to clear up the modifiers here. I know, coming from me, who am I to judge, but seriously, how can anyone have such an encyclopedic knowledge of porn?

Porn has become diluted as to "stars". I could care less about who she is and to be honest like the landslide of constant no name talent from the streets of Czechoslavakia

True. Once they had to stop pretending to act, the "star" part wen out the window. And now there are enough goofy broads who will work almost for free just for their fifteen minutes of Internet "fame". MomPov and Girls Do Porn are great sites. I love the one-timers who really aren't professional.

The Lebron hate is so ridiculously Skip Bayless-ish that its making me want to root for him. The guy opted out of a contract that gave him the very right to do that. It's not like he's holding out. He's becoming a free agent. And that makes him a jackass... somehow. Dont get me wrong, I think he's a dickhead, but not for opting out of this Miami contract. This isnt The Decision 2, yet.
