From 9-9:10 I caught Jeff Dickerson tonight & it went from Bad 2 Worse.
He spent the first 3 minutes replaying a so-called comedy bit of himself from earlier in the week, then 6 minutes promoting the Coppock & Mongo Bears pregame show, then finally - finally! - the Cubs & Brewers scores. And his broadcast line sounded like a bad grade school science project.

JD is my favorite bench guy on ESPN1000 but he was definitely off his game a bit tonight. Im not sure what it was, maybe he had other things on his mind, but his voice as well as the content was not as up to par as I have come to expect from him.

JD mentioned at the beginning of the show that he was under the weather and his voice was not as strong because of it.....I am sure he was giving it his best shot. That being said, I am a big fan of ESPN giving JD, Carmen and possibly even Finfer some solo weekend spots. I just don't get the Chet love (the Bears pregame show with Mongo is quite possibly the worst show in Chicago). I actually think when I have heard Carmen and JD solo they do a good job.

Worst pregame show is Holmes'...nothing but replays of interviews.

Not crazy about the format Lawrence uses for his pre-game...but come on, the creep scale on the Chet and Mongo pre-game show is through the roof.

They are definitely a bit odd, but I'll take live radio over intereviews I've already heard or read.

Did anyone catch Chris Mortenson on ESPN Radio Primetime last night? It was non stop interviews, and Jaws and Parcells were the only good interviewees, and Mort kept stuttering and just seemed overwhelmed by hosting a 2 hour show. God awful radio.

Does ESPN Radio Primetime actually air on 'MVP live, or did you have to stream it of the ESPN Radio website?

It was live on WMVP, I think from 11-1. I just threw it on to fall asleep too and it was easily the most awkward radio show I have heard in years.
