LeBron has probably been leading the Bulls on once again. He told GarPax it would greatly help their chances if they used whatever assets available to get Doug McDermott. He is now currently laughing his ass off. Fuck LeBron man.

No. They scouted this guy about 20 times. He is arguable the best shooter in the draft.

If this is part of a larger plan that involves getting Melo or Love then I am good with the pick and trade.

If they end up without one of them then I think this is a crappy deal.

They got the guy they targeted. Either way it is a good deal. They were not going to play 2 rookies. They need a shooter with or without Melo.

Even though I knew they were trading the picks, after they picked the second guy I thought, damn these two picks are great for the Bulls.

You can find a shooter later on. With the 11th pick in a draft like this give me a 2 way guy with star potential like Gary Harris.

Yes if you're not going to or are unable to package the picks in a larger trade, then do exactly as FF said.

Absolutely. I even think the SG the Celtics picked up with their second pick has more potential than McDermott.

Paxson seems obsessed with drafting updated models of himself.

More than 20, worked him out 3 different times with 3 different people in the organization to get 3 different opinions.

Jimmer, like you to me, is about 7 inches shorter.

This guy's floor is Wally Szczerbiak IMO. His defense will improve because Thibs is the coach.

Dougie is going to be seen in the post more than some people think.

I hope you meant ceiling. His floor is Adam Morrison.

in terms of winning an NBA championship, I agree

In truth, there games are completely dissimilar. Mc Dermott is a deadly 3 point shooter but he spent most of his time in college closer to the key.

I really don't believe any of you all making these comments have seen him play. He's the best draft pick they've had since Rose IMO. He's not some stiff and he isn't 6'1". He can score posting up and he is deadly from outside. Right now he's their best shooter and IMO it isn't close. He is a try hard guy and that means a lot when it comes to development.

What position does he play? He's way too slow to guard 2's. Too slow and too weak to guard 3's. Too weak/short to guard 4's.

Designated shooter? Half of the guys on any Euro team would be in the NBA if shooting skill alone were enough.

What are you talking about? He's not some slow guy that lacks any athletic ability. He's not some guy that is light in the ass either. The comparison to a Euro player couldn't be further from the truth.

Hopefully he can find a way for other NBA teams to stack their rosters with guys who are too slow/short/weak/unathletic to play in the NBA

I am relatively certain Hussra has watched very little of McDermott play.

There is video. Making uneducated statements is a choice when it comes to many of these guys.
