With the Bears first round pick of 2008, they select Jake Long, OT, out of Michigan.

Going to be a looooooooong year.

What has he done that is so impressive. His players carried him the whole time. he used Rivera as a scapegoat for his defense fucking up last season, and he continues to stick with Rex like a moron.

I agree about the Rexperiment being over and done. The time lost in finding and developing success with Rex's replacement may well be the undoing of this season.
However, Lovie's players are performing under his system, so they damn well better carry him. He put them in position to succeed. Rivera a scapegoat or not, I don't know. He didn't need one. He wasn't in danger of losing his job.

Black head coaches will always get more criticism than white head coaches.

Sorry to say this, I don't think he's been that good from the get-go. I think what we've had here is a little social concern in the NFL. The media has been very desirous that a black coach do well.

I'd never plan a delivery during a Bears game. She knows better than to come out now. Surgery is scheduled for 8:00 am tomorrow.

By the way, Adam Archuleta is bad, he misses tackles, gets laid out by skinny ass WR's and is slow, nice pick up

Yeah, but then maybe he should remain a coordinator. He can't handle clock management (like last year when he screwed it up big time a few times), bad challenges, gets all defensive if questioned by the media. I can't really give him too much credit so far after having some good players on D and beating some horrible competition last year

Shit. Now it's not even sporting. They know what's coming and they're cherry picking.

I know John Madden isn't what he used to be, but he keeps talking about how the Cowboys have "worn down" the Bears defense and how the Cowboys are beating up the best defense in the league and blah blah blah....FOUR PLAYERS ARE OUT JOHN (3 are pro bowl caliber) AND THEIR REPLACEMENTS SUCK....THAT'S WHY THEY'RE BACKUPS. AND THE OFFENSE IS THE WORST IN THE NFL....HELLO!!!! He's not gonna be happy til he's sucking Tony Romo's cock

Nice reality check for Bears fans, no more crying about respect or power rankings. Beat down at home and they got some great breaks from the refs

Rex, average as usual, this time against another bad D, like last week, he looks good if no one is near him and his first guy he's staring at is wide open, but then so what, it's the pros son, this guy wouldn't have a job if he came up on a team that didn't have this great D. I guess you look at the top, no QB competition in camp, and you take away a proven RB when your offense is your one weakness. Plenty of the offense sucked royally, but that doesn't take away from Rex's mistakes like some make excuses for him

Defense wasn't great, but at least they faced a real good offense, again got screwed on field position and time of possession by their own offense.

Is it just me or does Grossman look like he's going to cry. Archuleta is way too small to play SS in this defense. Man if these guys that got hurt on D are out for a while this is going to suck when the Pack kicks our ass.

Can't win if you can't score. What a shame. Seriously, who else is this team going to beat this year?

I disagree, Rex was bad. I hope he is "not our quarterback".

I'm pissed. He can't stare down his receivers and 2 of the interceptions were his fault. They need to score more than 10 pts in a game. It's like the coaches want to ignore offense is part of the game.

Who is the guy in front of Hester on the kickoffs? I think it was Mannig. He needs to get his ass moving. He was like jogging after Hester caught the ball each time. Grossman is staring down his receiver and Roy Williams just read him on that last pick. Hey Brad Johnson is Dallas's backup we should see if he's interested.

They're not going to the playoffs this year. Draft a QB, won't go next year. Then Brian Urlacher will be slow and old. Then the defense will suck. Then we'll be smack dab in the middle of the John David Booty era in Chicago, and those jeers practically write themselves. If I lived in Boston or New York, I'd be an insuferable prick, but at least my professional sports teams would be in contention for some sport every year.

I'd say injuring half the starting D counts as "wearing them down" though.

torch, compared to what would Grossman's performance be considered "average as usual"? A 30-40 rating is downright piss poor.

Well they got the Raiders, and the Vik.. wait, the Sai.. wait, the Redski...
I mean they could maybe get a few breaks and win 3 or 4 more games.
