Dare I say the offense has awoken in the past week for the Cardinals?

I get two treats with today's game. Wainwright is always fun to watch, and since the game is on Fox Sports One, I get to hear the always enjoyable Brian Anderson call the game.

If serious about Anderson, I agree. Nice we get to hear him all of the time.

Absolutely serious. First heard him in 2011 calling the NLCS for TBS and thought he was great. Then I got to hear him quite a bit on the weekends when I was commuting to Wisconsin the last couple years.

Horrible, as if things were not bad enough. Can't imagine what he and his family are going thru.

Condolences to his family and the Crew.

Not sure who is working with Anderson, but he just said Yadi getting injured is "poetic justice".

O/U on death threats he receives from #BFIB has been set at 50 in the first hour.

Gabe Kapler and what a dumb thing to say.

I'll give the people on twitter credit...haven't seen any threats of violence yet...just a bunch of people calling him obscenities and telling him this isn't Fox Sports North.

Idiot statement. What would be poetic about it anyway?

The guy that said it was Gabe Kapler. He (basically) instantly apologized via twitter and said that's not what he meant - he misused the word.

Cards fans over-reacted to that one. Nobody questions that Yadier is the best catcher in the game.

Don't stop there.. He also has the slowest home to first time and the worst collections of tatts.

...actually his 500 lb 45 year old brother who is making close to 2 mil per year with the Rays has the slowest home to first time.

As a Cards fan, I could care less what Kapler thinks of Molina's catching skills, but for any broadcaster to seemingly approve of an injury is jacked up. Apology via twitter is nice and all, but did he also do so via the game broadcast?

No idea. You get what he meant though, right? It wasn't really about Yadier rather what LuCroy has done this year.

Good lord, have to admit that didn't even cross my mind. I do agree that lucroy has been better overall this year, but man think it thru before you let that slip out over the airways.

No doubt, Kapler screwed up. Bad choice of words. But the intent was about LuCroy, IMO.

I'd like to see/hear the person that thinks that anybody is a better catcher than Yadier, dude is a beast all around.

You'll get no argument from me. It's amazing how most teams wont even try him in terms of stealing a base. Though I wish they would as I love watching him throw. And he has improved significantly as a hitter over the years too, kind of like Ozzie Smith did back in the day.

Yeah, I felt bad for him after he said it and saw what he was getting on twitter. It was clear he was talking about Lucroy getting the start. Horrible choice of words is all.

And those Cards fans that reacted to this overreact to everything. Probably a lot of the same people who wanted to hang Kozma from the foul pole after Wacha's lost no-no last year.

As for nobody questioning Yadi is the best catcher, don't tell the people in San Fran that. Their love affair with Buster Posey makes mine with David Freese look tame.

I don't plan these things. The dolphin family lives a freestyle life. We woke up late after a family party the night before. I saw nothing on the calendar and thought what a great day it would be to go to a game. We made the decision at 11 am.

It's gonna be a good race.

Brew have been in first all year. Pirate needs to get some starter to have a fluke half-season like a Locke last year or Liriano returning to form. I can't really see them buying, but stranger things have happened. Cardinal are starting to play well, but will have to weather 2-3 mos without their indispensable catcher. If Votto starts Vottoing, you can't rule the Red out either.

Bullshit. GD is one of the most conservative, type-A black women I have ever met.

This thing was planned in February. He's dodging you Hawgman.

left the house at 11:15 and was in my seat by the second cardinal batter.

Shirt sleeves seem to be an entirely optional accoutrement in Wisconsin. Facial hair is not.
