Does Leon's have the different flavors. I don't see how they can be much better than whatever Kopps is serving as the flavor of the day. The chocolate and vanilla could be better.

Leon's has it all, and it is better, trust me.

is there a thread Good Dolphin is winning today ?

Maybe the PM thread.

It appears there was both an Andy's and a Randy's on the same stretch of road. I went to Andy's. It was good, but couldn't compete with the Milwaukee stands, no.
Randy's is the long-time favorite and best choice in the area. Andy's is good, but also a minor chain (including 1 location in Bolingbrook).

so I tried your beloved Leon's

I think you Leon lovers are crazy. Bad service, average burger, great custard but not a sufficient upgrade to negate the lead kopp's has in the other two areas. Leon's is custard for hipsters trying to slum it.

I will wait for my guy Tall Midget to come and thrash you for the comments.

I support good dolphin's conclusion 100%. When I head up north of the Cheddar Curtain in the weekend after this one I'll hit Sobelmann's for brunch and then Kopp's for "dinner".

A few Bloody Mary's ast Sobelmann's and you won't need dinner.

I can see your point about the burgers since Leon's is somewhat inconsistent in that arena.

I've always had very friendly and accommodating service at Leon's and Kopp's.

As you say, the custard is clearly better at Leon's. This is why Leon's is my custard stand of choice in Milwaukee. I tend to eat at other places when I'm in town (Zaffiro's for pizza, Coquette for a revelatory Croque Monsieur, Three Brothers for fantastic Serbian, etc.

Sobelmann's is mediocre at best. Good lord, man, have you been to Bad Apple or about 100 other burger spots in Chicago that are way better than Sobelmann's?

Never been to Bad Apple. Dad and I don't go for the food. We go for the combination of the cramped atmosphere, bloody mary's and burgers. It's become a tradition to go before going to Milwaukee Brew Fest.
