Do you stand by the idea that Abreu has a problem because he doesn't hit his home runs far enough?

The only problem Abreu has is that he signed a six year contract on a team with no direction. I hope he enjoys .500 ball.
Please don't Kirkwood us. You are better than that.

You just posted that Hahn's vision sucks in the other thread, didnt you?
So far it does. Your point?

So, what is the issue with IMU's post saying they have no direction?

I think you are misunderstanding me. I'm only talking about the job Hahn has done so far. I'm not saying that all hope is lost. If you pay attention to the whole quote, I expect 85+ wins next year. Does that sound like I think the team has no direction?

Ok. Misunderstood the difference.

He can line up right next to the guys who made it because every team needed at least one representative

Every post you make about Rizzo without acknowledging how wrong you've been just digs a deeper hole.

Cashner off the DL yet?

Also, do you think the 35 homeruns Rizzo is on pace for is a quiet 35?

Its a long season and that BA and OBP have been slipping.

But the slugging has gone up.

Barring injury I think he'll finish with an 850 ops, which Ill take. Good player.

.093 difference. If he isn't far superior then he is really, really, really close to far superior! Steve Stone may have been right after all!
Bump for the afternoon shift.

Try again, counselor. I predicted 35 homeruns for Abreu before the season started.

Chris Davis is doing well this season. Oh wait, no he isn't.

Principle applies to both Rizzo and Abreu.

Let's not rewrite history. You weren't leading the parade of Abreu deniers, but you had your doubts:

Haven't jumped off. 32 year old sluggers don't age well. See Dunn, Adam.

Absolutely untrue.

I said he would hit 35 HR's before the season started and the unedited post is still there.

My point that you would mock Cub fans for predicting 30 for a guy with 0 homeruns doesnt have anything to do with what I think Abreu would do

That's the whole point. Thinking Abreu would hit a lot of homers makes sense. Its not dumb. But if a Cub fan did it, you know you'd be killing him

That's not true. If a Cub fan had said Abreu would hit 30, I would have said "Of course he will". Cub fan Terry Boers was hoping and praying Abreu would be a bust and made himself look like an idiot once again. IMU compared thinking that a guy who would obviously hit 30 (HE HAS 29 AT THE FUCKING ALL-STAR BREAK AFTER MISSING TWO WEEKS!!!!!!!) to believing Rizzo and Baez would run 1-2 in all Triple Crown categories in 2016 and C.J. Edwards winning 10 Cy Youngs. viewtopic.php?f=33&t=86325&p=1967882&hilit=Abreu#p1967882

Im not so sure you would if he were on the Cubs. Im not sure. The Cubs have been bad since I met you.

But Im not answering for IMU or Terry Boers.

I have been an Abreu fan since before the Sox signed him and I never waivered from thinking he'd hit a lot of homers.

Thank goodness Abreu didnt participate in the HR derby!

Yes, I do think it was kind of Douchey for a ROOKIE to be invited to a HR Derby and say NO.

or does the Rookie tag only get used when comparing his stats to other rookies?

2 more bombs tonight, 25 on the season, tops in the NL.

Could be real fun real soon with him, Bryant, Baez and Soler.

They certainly seem to have a chance to have a good young offense next year
