my post didn't really have anything to do with phish specifically either, as opposed to the occasional epiphanies i hear about people having when they're expanding their horizons in the parking lot before the show.

I don't do drugs much anymore. Beer, whiskey, and weed does the job for me.

I know that alcohol and weed are drugs in a technical sense of the word, but if anybody saw the things I saw this weekend, including many in my crew, beer and weed wouldn't be drugs to them either.

i personally believe that weed isn't a drug, it's a lifestyle.

drunken driving leads to carnage mayhem DUIs $5000 lawyers unplanned pregnancies and all kinds of out and out debauchery.

stoned driving leads to taco bell.

so unless you're that one chick from galesburg who literally turns into the tasmanian devil once you get a hit of some decent shit in you, shoot, since when is getting a little 90-degree-perspective-turn into grandiose overthought such a horrible thing? at least the country en masse is eventually gonna adopt that whole "weed should be legal cuz it'll be a nice little give-back for the ultra-surveilence state we're creeping towards (read: we're already in if anyone truly gives a shit about you)
