OK, Rose is back and playing with Team USA. The videos are out there showing him dunking, taking hits, etc. And he's proclaimed to make critics "eat their words".

So what are the predictions for Rose moving forward?

Does he return to superstar status? Does he blow out his knee once again? Or maybe he becomes just another guy??

He retires and gets fat eating Giordanos by the time he is 27.

I don't think it's possible for him to be the same guy/superstar he was.
He's going to be regarded as an all time bust.

Whoa guy.

There is a ton of room between superstar and all-time bust.

Thabeet, Olowokandi, Milicic, Morrison, Brown, Bowie, Oden.

Those are busts.

I stick by my long time prediction. Jason Kidd! Not sure some of the youngsters here remember a guy who drove to the hoop all the time, was a GREAT passer at the rim, great dish guy, was lightning fast, wasn't a good shooter from the outside, but his game changed, became a great floor leader who didnt drive as much improved his outside shot and was very good for years.

That's fair. I don't mean bust like bust bust but an all round 1st pick who isn't able to play or is an average player even good is a bust in my opinion. We'll look back at this as a wasted 1st pick.

I think you mean "Play below his pay" , which is why when he leaves here someone will get a Play above Pay guy and win.

Disagree. It has already been a good pick, if he were to never play another game. Two top seeds in a row, with one year losing in the ECF to a stacked Miami team and the second year he was injured.

Secondly, I don't think the above matters as I think he will still be a "good" point guard in the future. He won't be a Top 2 or 3 PG, but easily Top 10 at his position and he can be the PG on a championship team.

You are a walking contradiction.

Don't you want more than a couple years for a hundred million and a first overall pick?

I beg to differ on the contrary. I agree with every word that you say.

I also want peace in the Middle East. I get disappointed often.

If he doesn't perform this year he will go down as T-Mac with a shorter superstar period. If he gets injured this year he'll go down as Penny Hardaway.

What I want: Wins the Bulls a championship in 2016.

What will happen: Plays two more years with the Bulls, has small stretches of being injured and out, asks for and is granted a trade out of town when the Bulls can't get past the first round.

Yeah the meniscus tear is a nothing injury and shouldn't prevent him from doing anything. Half of the population is walking around with meniscal tears and doesn't even know it.* I think he'll come back gangbusters.

He gets hurt again. It's the Hinrich curse. Over the last few years every team he went to as a back-up he starts. Why? Guy in front of him got hurt. The Kirk affect.

Could've drafted Beasley, who's out of the league now.

Jim Boeheim says Rose has been the most impressive guy at the USA camp so far

Quote:
"That's my biggest surprise coming in here," Syracuse coach and Team USA assistant Jim Boeheim told ESPNChicago.com, in reference to Rose's performance. "The one thing I was worried about is whether he would be able to step in after so much time [off]. He looks, to me, as good as when we had him in the world championship in '10, when he was at full strength coming [into] an MVP year. He looks very, very good. Obviously, [when] he gets in some games, it will be a little different, but it's not like he hasn't had success in games. He had a lot of success.

"He's been the most impressive guy here."

In just two days, Rose seems to have reminded the basketball world just how talented he can be when he's healthy.

Team USA coach Mike Krzyzewski echoed Boeheim's praise.

"He was phenomenal [Monday], and he was today, too," Krzyzewski said. "He hasn't held anything back. The neat thing about today was we went hard [Monday] and we went hard today, and he hasn't been in this [practice] environment, and he was as good or better today."

The thing that has impressed Krzyzewski most is the way Rose has attacked the competition. The former MVP is trying to be one of the 12 players who will make up Team USA at the FIBA Basketball World Cup in late August in Spain.

"He's gone after people," Krzyzewski said. "[Shying away from contact] ain't happening. He's going after everybody, and he's really going hard. His movement on defense has been spectacular. When we started practice [Monday], what he did defensively -- whoa. It picked everybody up. You don't play that type of defense in the NBA because you have to play 40 minutes and 100 games, but here if you play 20 minutes, that's a lot, but you don't have to play consecutively, so you can go to an extreme -- that's what he's doing. I think he's shown he has great balance and strength. He's stronger, and he has better balance, and he's shooting the ball great. I think he's been absolutely terrific these first two days."

If all this talk from Team USA is true Bulls fans are going to be really pleased provided no new injury.
