I think it's apparent that there is no leverage to be had for Mac, no sir. The Game, The Score, Whateverthefuckelse...I think Mitch has him pegged or Mitch is just going to cave and give Mac the money and the 364 vacation days. Maybe not, though.

Yesterdays show wasn't too bad, Mannelly was alright, Meat was alright, it was alright. Milquetoast except for some decent bright spots every now and again. But it looks like Larry is on the horizon, he's back after NBC fired him for wearing mirrors on his shoes. Whatever. Football talk was awful as usual, training camp "reports" were useless and filled with over inflated nonsense and lies. Interviews were stupid. But that's football talk in Chicago.

Listen in.

I might check in for a while today to see how things are going. Too busy yesterday.

It's Matt A. the rest of the week with Spiegs, until he takes off after becoming Primus.

It begins.

The transition is upon us!

If you're "becoming" someone, the sheet music has to go. You never saw The Beatles or The Rolling Stones on stage with a music stand.

Just tuned in and sounding pretty decent. Having Revsine on from BTN. I love Big Ten football so that
could be some good stuff.

Manley wasn't bad yesterday he got better as it went on. He might end up being ok. Far better than Hub. He is raw but could develop. Holmes needs to stay in his slot don't move him Mitch.

It was called Spiegel and Holmes during Mac's last absence.

I think Mac will be back at the Score.

its not like they focus on 3 or 4 bands... they seem to cover everyone... you cant possibly expect them to memorize everything for a single throw away show? maybe if they did 4-5 led zepplin shows in a row they could memorize most of it... i cant believe i'm defending ramblin here

Looks like the guitar player is somehow muddling through without the music in front of him

Yeah, well, all you have to do is check out other photos and such from any of their other shows. The music stand is omnipresent. And whoever said they do multiple bands a week or whatever so Grimace can't possibly remember all the lyrics, fuck that noise. Any cover band, anywhere in the city, plays multiple sets covering dozens of different artists. Somehow, they all pretty much are able to do it without a binder of notes or a teleprompter or whatever. Grimace = shitty frontman.

Let me just clarify my stance here. I have no issue with the cover band down at the corner tap that are just playing some songs for fun and free beer using sheet music, but when you are promoting yourself as "becoming" these legendary artists, I would expect some sort of professional presentation. These guys are probably pulling down decent coin for their shows, and the least Grimace could do is memorize the words to "Jumpin Jack Flash". Hell, I probably know them, and I have performed the song a total of zero times.

Both of these guys are brutally incompetent.

It's shocking that they can garner air-time in what is purportedly a major market.

I'm totally agreeing with you. I was responding to redskingreg who is making it seem like criticizing Grimace for the music stand isn't fair just based on the gif. I'm saying he always has it, and I am saying he sucks because of it.
