also i assume you're taking the piss, but hearing julie swieca on the radio would be a thing. you know there'd be at least 1-2 diehard deep breathing callers who would have to let her know how much they've missed her.

i swear the last time I saw Lou Cannelis doing sports on the local fox news he was drunk off his ass... he was slurring his speech on mutliple occasions... he would be a finalist if we had a who is the darkest orange looking.... with giangreco giving him a run for the title

Whenever I have the misfortune of seeing a Giangreco or Canellis on television, I often ponder how they have managed to remain entrenched in these jobs for so long. These guys were doing these fucking jobs when I was a child and now I'm a grown ass man in my 30s. Is sports "guy" so far off the radar at a television station that no one cares what the hell these guys do on a nightly basis? They give no information to the viewer that could not be obtained from a website hours before it is presented on television. Their personalities are dull and smarmy, their opinions devoid of substance, and their commentaries are laced with eighth grade level sarcasm. These stations could get similar talent for less money if they cared. It's not like Giangreco brings in ratings, though I'm sure he thinks he does.

This could apply to almost any local news sports guy in Chicago. They haven't all been around since we were wee lads like Methuselah Giangreco but they're all pretty smarmy and annoying. Currently Pat Tomasulo tops my punch-in-the-face wishlist.

Agree about Tomasulo. He is nothing but a literal chimpanzee in a suit. He looks, speaks, and acts like an ape.

Tomasulo, like Spiegs, misses his daytime job while performing at night. Tomasulo does stand up in the hopes of someday becoming a headliner. I laugh at him because he is not comfortable around guys who are bigger than him, funny, and snicker at Jersey boys.

At bears camp, Tomasulo made a point to "interview" a kid who was makin fart noises behind his back during the previous segment. The kid was maybe 9 or 10 and clearly uncomfortable on camera. Nothing like picking on small children to prove what a big man you are.

Perhaps the funnier thing about Tomasulo is that with kids he doesn't know how to deal with their impromptu behavior/heckling. He wants to say something but fears it will be inappropriate. That, and the fact that he isn't much bigger makes him come off somewhat comical, in a "you amuse me like a clown" aspect.

Update: Sign of the Apocalypse (or perhaps Sinicalypse). A good 30-40 people waiting in line to get an autograph from Canellis at the Bears "Family Fest" (more on that shitshow when I'm drinking again).
