I don't see Forte being a starter in 2016 ... he's not going to last as long as Martin.

Martin was 5"11 with heels on. What makes you think Forte won't make it to 29?

Saw a pic of Forte arriving at camp. Adonis is a word to use.

Horrible thoughts all over this thread.

The Bears are absolutely not a surefire top 3 offense because of the guy under center.

Top 10 defense!? Are you fucking kidding me Nas? They were terrible last year. Their free agents and returning starters are old. They are also awful at safety.

Matt Forte has plenty of RBs in his own generation to surpass before talking hall of fame.

The Bears offense is not made to grind clock Nas. They are made for big plays. Jay Cutler can't dink and dunk. Forte also can't eat clock.

To the GB fans: Marshall is the best receiver on either team, hands down. Randall Cobb ain't close.

Lacey will struggle this year.

The GB defense is also terrible.

And Scorehead, stop calling him tresty or I'm gonna piss vomit. Your thoughts are bad enough without having to say Tresty.

I like shorter backs, Id prefer backs under 6 foot over 200 lbs... Forte will be 29 this December by like week 13 ..next season will be his last as a starter IMO ...he's a backup in 2016 or outta the league...

Over the past 6 years what RB not named named Adrian Peterson has been more productive?

The Bears have an explosive offense and don't need to grind anything out. This offense put together long drives with and without Cutler last season.

The defense was middle of the pack before Briggs got hurt despite all the other holes and injuries.

Will you apologize to me if I'm right?

 Apologize? For disagreeing?

I'll buy you a steak dinner of your choice if the Bears are a top ten defense.

Leash just fell for Nas' bit. No downside to making awful contrarian proclamations because there was that one time I was right.

No. I'm so confident in this one that I'd be happy to do it if I'm wrong. This wouldn't be a one game anomaly. They'd have to maintain it.

Guess leash would never enter into a wager with me given his terms, although given nas' terms neither him nor the charity are ever going to see that money/steak

Sorry nas, but Mel Tucker will continue to oversee the downfall of what used to be a very solid Bears D.

Good point vegan. I didn't even get into the Tucker part.

Tofu all around if that asshole gets coordinator of the year.

Except I've never lost a wager on this board and I have made over 5. I'm not just saying something. I want to be clear that I am talking about top 10 defense in points scored and rushing yards. I'll buy a steak if I'm wrong.

My biggest beef with forte is he's not a great RUNNING BACK...ok blocker...great receiver ...gets a lot of cheap screen yards or dumpoff passes on 3rd and forever when defense is playing back...but he don't find the endzone...

I can't bet against the Bears as a fan, but I bet some Pack fans will jump all over that. I'll still donate to a charity if it happens.

Why rushing yards? Points are all that matter. Part of what is so laughable about some Lovie criticism is all the talk about yards given up or whatever, even if his defense allowed only 14-16 points.

He's averaged 4+ yards per carry every year of his career. They were putting 8 and 9 guys in the box because our offense sucked and he still got the job done. He hasn't gotten the chance to run behind a good offensive line yet. There are seasons where he accounted for 40% of the offense. Many of you all don't like him because he doesn't run people over. What he does is effective and probably better for his body in the long run.

I think they'll give up a lot of passing yards.

You're wrong. Lynch has been in the league 1 year longer and he still has nearly 1000 fewer yards. Johnson production is identical to Forte and he peeked about 3 years ago. McCoy came into the league a year later and he'll need about 2300 this season to equal what Forte did in his first 6 years.

Talk about terrible fucking thoughts man. Lacy is gonna be really damn good and top 5-6 in rushing yards barring injury.

I already said Green Bay would have a bad defense. But if Clay Matthews stays healthy this year he's miles better than anyone on Chicago and single handedly elevates their potential.

Completely agree on the Tresty bullshit.

You will lose our bet by Week 13.

Oh and Jeffrey is the better WR. You'll see that if Jay ever smartens up. And Cobb is close. Was hurt last year as well. Look back on how you lost the division to see how he impacts games when healthy. Also remember that you probably don't have a safety on the roster better than that this year unless Wilson pulls a miraculous old man comeback season.

Ray Rice:
6180 rushing 3034 receiving Super Bowl Champion. 2 years younger than Forte

Ray Rice a likely HoFer? No.

That Ravens offense was gutted by Flacco contract. Rice has 1000 less carries than Forte offset by 25 more receptions.

No. He ran the way that's exciting to fans and his game declined dramatically last year. Even though he's been exciting he still has fewer yards over the past 6 seasons.

All of these fan favorites haven't been more productive than Forte despite his awful offenses and offensive lines. This really proves how underrated he is.

What Angelo and Lovie did to the Bears offense was criminal. There should be an investigation.

Very true. Trading for Cutler will have cemented the Bears into mediocrity for a decade.
