I wanted to love this place because it's close to home and replaced a restaurant I enjoyed visiting on occasion.
I've been one time for lunch and once for dinner. Both times the meals were decent. Some items were very good, others were just fair at best. The bottom line is none of the dishes were worth the fairly steep price.
My biggest complaint with this place is the staff. The first time I visited for lunch there were two gentlemen greeting (and I'll use that term very lightly). Actually, they were both at the register trying to figure out how to split a bill. It was truly comical, but so inappropriate when a patron is standing very nearby. It was kind of a dumb and dumber skit to be honest.
Then there is the waitstaff. Both times I've been there we had a different person waiting on us. Considering the atmosphere of this restaurant, the food they are serving, and the prices they're charging, they have not chosen the appropriate staff at all. Both individuals were overly chatty, lingered wait too long at our table on many occasions, and were simply inappropriately chummy.
But what took the cake for me last night was when our waitress was at another table and I could just barely hear the conversation but she asked the two young people sitting there if they were having an affair. No joke.
Also I remember the first time we were there the waitress told us that the desserts were purchased. Last night our waitress brought a tray of desserts to our table and four to the items claimed they were old family recipes. With the crème brûlée she had no idea what it was I had to tell her the name of it. She said it was some kind of "oven pudding."
And what about the name Cooper's Corner, you ask? We asked our waitress the first night and she said there was absolutely no reason for naming it that other then the owner thought it was cool. Obviously they are attempting to ride on the popularity of Another very similarly named restaurant in the area. Bad call.
This person sounds like a pleasure to be around, what with the grilling the waitstaff about fucking
everything. Bitch you ate at a mid-level steakhouse, what did you expect?
And another.

My boyfriend wanted a steak and said we'd just go to Chili's, but I wanted to try CC, which is even closer to home. He settled for a prime rib sandwich while reeling from sticker shock.
boyfriend sounds like a keeper!
