Most Sox fans think these past two years have been unacceptable, and that there hasn't been enough progress made this year.

For next year, I think anything below 87 wins is a disappointment and unacceptable.

Being "OK" as in, Theo has a plan so let him do whatever the fuck he wants. Thankfully, a lot of Cubs fans have started to come to their senses and realize whats going on is bullshit and the team better be in the hunt for the division title next year.

The Sox were god awful last year. They were not acceptable in any way, shape, or form. 2012 they were a pretty good ballclub who ran out of gas and folded at the end. 5+ months of competitive, first place baseball was a big step forward from where they were under the last two years of Ozzie Guillen.

Hahn now is obviously rebuilding, but he is also not completely tanking multiple MLB seasons to do so, at least not on purpose. He is trying to get young guys-- both at the minor league and MLB level, and has done just that.

I'm "OK" with how the White Sox were from '06 thru about '10 because I saw them win a World Series. Something no living Cubs fan can remember experiencing. I didn't agree with all of the moves, and I certainly was not happy with the results in '07- '09, but I gave my team and the GM the benefit of the doubt because, you know, he actually put together a winning team. Who's laughing now, spmack?

The Sox need to make the playoffs next year, or least be right there until the very last hours of the regular season. If they are hovering around .500 again next year (barring an obscene amount of injuries) I can assure you that at the very least the Sox fans on this board will start holding Hahn's feet to the fire.

The interesting part seems to be that the Sox fans seem to have higher bars for success next year than the Cubs even do, even though the Sox would be in year 3 and the Cubs would be in year 6 of being non-competitive.

How Cubs fan show they're OK: declining attendance, declining TV ratings, declining radio ratings
How Sox fans show they're OK: have a lower attedance when they're 5 below .500 than on pace for 99 losses.

Why is this interesting.

And I am glad that Frank and Brick have such a pulse on cub nation, but remember, they don't care about the cubs.

It's interesting because personally I set the bar for success next year at making the playoffs(or in some crazy world where they win 88 games and don't make it). Three years of being uncompetitive is unacceptable. The Cubs are now at 5 years and I'm not sure that playoffs or bust is the expectation for year 6.
