Devastating loss just based on what he did last year.

If Cutler was more accurate, this never would have happened.

Wilson was injured when he dove for Jay Cutler's 40-yard pass, which fell incomplete. Trainers tended to him on the field for about five minutes before carting him off.

I wonder if some teams have a "no diving" in practice rule. Double edged sword for sure, so I would understand a team going either way on it.

With a rule like that, no one would ever catch a pass during a Bears practice.

The bandwagon is fine. This is a problem but a minor one... It's like when your heat/air blower only works on the 3 and 4 levels. It's annoying but you learn to work around it. Still going to the Super Bowl.

I agree. Briggs bruised knee is worse as he might miss practices. All those quarts of Cherry Garcia don't magically burn off.

He'll probably lose his spot to some unknown player that will look like a world beater because the two best WRs in football are on either side of him.

Cutler likes him and it looks like he'll only miss 4 to 6 weeks. He'll be healthy by Week 2.

Probably too early to say either way. Twitterers pointing out that the same injury has knocked guys out for as little as 2 weeks, and as many as 8+.

Either way he can get mental reps and be ready to produce. He's going to be a stud.

Morgan is MORE than capable of filling the #3 WR role and most likely would have beat Wilson out for it this year. It still sucks as I was looking for him to be a guy who showed development throughout the year.

On the up side, this is great news for Chris Williams. I also wanted to see what he has. He is lightning fast.

I think Wilson's big play ability made him a lock. He's a mismatch for any safety or 3rd corner.

a lock to make the team, not the #3WR

take a look at Morgan's size and YPC. He is a good player who has been a little snakebit in the league.

Wasn't Morgan arrested? Probably going to be suspended for the first couple games. Unless it was his wife in which case he will get a bonus.

I believe Wilson is 3 inches taller and 9 years younger. We know Cutler loves him and that matters. That's why I believe the job will still be his when he comes back. I believe Morgan was just insurance.

They signed both Morgan AND Hixon so the organization was looking for something more than insurance.

Morgan is 29. He is in prime years for a WR. He is 6'1" and 220 which is bigger (while slightly less tall) than WIlson. He put up consecutive very good years in SF with 25% of his catches going for over 20 yards. He took the money and went to that mess in Washington.

Today (and yesterday) he is a better WR than Wilson. That's not true 1-2 years from now but this year he is the #3.

Nope. He wasn't quite exonerated but it was an exaggeration by the car parker

Has anybody called B&B or AM100 to say that the Bears should have kept Earl Bennett?
