I try to listen. I have come to the conclusion they all suck. Jarrett Payton should be happy he has a job. Spike is nothing special. It's like mixing 3 bags of fertilizer and hoping it smells like minestrone.

That's a horrible afternoon show, it shouldn't be an overnight weekend show.

Yes, it should. The irritating part is, the show following it with McKnight & Carman is much better. It's actually decent. How the fuck is that the night show while Tiny's holding down afternoons? The Game's PD must be a drunk.

Agreed on 'The Night Game', it's actually somewhat listenable.

Spiegel and Harry would be Epic. 2 ex Macs eating Big Macs. Mac can do what he wants but never team up with Harry again. He isn't the worst talent out there but he is so annoying. He understands radio which many these days don't and he puts work in but so annoying.

Yes. That is Harry at his best. I think he's actually better by far, on the game, than he ever was on MJH. he drives the show and is much more comfortable driving, than being a 3rd wheel hoping to jump in with a joke or comment now and then. I know I'm in the minority (Elmhurst Steve a minority  ) here, but I like Harry.

The fact that Payton and Spike loathe his jokes says something.

Harry has to drive the show as he is working with 2 stiffs in Spike & JP.

During say the NBA finals with the bulls in it I could a show discussing Risky Buisness, Bruce, Best bagels, Fenway park and if Five Guys is really that good. In the end Matt Breaks down pulls a Mac and sees he needs sobriety. He asks Harry yo be his sponsor.

I wish they would cut his show off at six so I wouldn't have to ever hear him when Score and ESPN go to commercial.

How dare you!

I get the premise of what you are saying and I completely agree! It is as if these two aren't comfortable enough with discussing sports to drive a show, and aren't comfortable enough as being men to engagingly talk "man talk." One looks like, and the other sounds like an aging butch lesbian. Which is why they would need a third wheel (ex-jock) to give their show a respectable amount of testosterone on several levels.

The segment this past week where Spike was advocating for netting all around Hockey rinks and Baseball fields (foul territory) was a low point for Spike. References to this are likely to be in evidence for some time to come. To Harry's credit, he shot it down rather effectively. Jarrettt Payton has got to learn to stop trying so hard to be agreeable and not waffle on subjects. Too often, he comes off as being open to suggestion and without firm convictions. Seems like a nice guy, but not opinionated enough.

I cannot tell you the number of times I have heard Harry crack a joke over the last few weeks with no one in the studio responding. Harry then sheepishly moves on to his next topic. However, it never stops him from continuing to think he is funny.

Also, is there anyone in the sports world that Harry doesn't love? This is why Mac told him he had no credibility over a decade ago.
