Nice pick, great band.

I would have to go with Naive Melody, one of the live versions.

I'll Wait by Van Halen.

I've heard & cranked it 2-3 times in the last month.

I get really quizzical looks between 76th & 89th and Stony Island Ave. :alien:

My guys! Who knew that fascist's could also share in the sonicic tornado that is Van Halen?

Chus, I think Il Duce means that because you're having to "crank it" means your hearing is going bad.

DLR Van Halen is great rock. Far from a fav and I think EVH is overrated as a player, although he created the brown sound which is cool. Eruption though? Ughhh. Anyway they are bleeping rock and roll.

Pinion must be blasted to lead into the storm that is Wish. In fact, just blast all of Broken.

I have to go with Last if we're talking about Broken, love the first solo guitar riff.

But that whole EP was awesome, even the hidden track.

Yeah just blast every song from start to finish.

In my book NIN could do no wrong from PHM to The Fragile.

The first time I saw Happiness in Slavery live it was in 1995 at the Mecca in MKE, I nearly lost my shit...
I was in the middle of chemo at the time sitting at the back of the arena, with a perfect view of the stage, full of chemicals. If you could piece together a 30 second collage of brain-video...this moment would be a part of mine.

Mr. Self Destruct 1.18.95

And here's the setlist from that show (my first). 1.18.95

1 Pinion
2 Mr. Self Destruct
3 Sin
4 March of the Pigs
5 Piggy
6 Reptile
7 Gave Up
8 Happiness In Slavery
9 Eraser
10 Hurt
11 The Downward Spiral
12 Wish
13 Suck
14 Physical (You're So)
15 Down In It
16 Head Like A Hole
17 Closer
18 Dead Souls
19 I Do Not Want This
20 Something I Can Never Have

You can d/l a FLAC file of this show here: http://reflectinginthechrome.com/downlo ... ac1644.zip

Yeah Happiness In Slavery is top 10 NIN.
I saw them at the first Lolla.
Saw them on my 20th birthday at The Riv, with Manson opening.
I'll have to settle for YT vids for the most recent stuff.
"Every Day Is Exactly The Same" is the best NIN song, IMO./

So if you recall the early shows, Trent would have the "movie" screen come down and then back-light the band in orange and white.
During Reptile (straight center-back, 10 rows up) I see my buddy in the middle of the pit, 4-5 people deep, crowd surfing...aglow in the white spot light....another snip of that brain-video.

The Mecca was great b/c it was GA everywhere, but like a HS gym with 20 rows of surround seating, up to the 3 point line at the far end, with the stage at the baseline.
