Continuing with the lists:
1. Condescension needs to go. Mmmm-hmmmm, *SIGH*, Talking down to guests
1a. Drop the smartest guy in the room ethos. Notice how stupid Bernstein sounds with that ethos? And yet he believes he's the smartest, funniest and caring guy in the room. He make listeners want to vomit.
2. Pay attention to the radio partner/guests. He drifts too often to go on Twitter, online etc.
3. Take charge of the show. Mac is gone and so Grimace is top dog. Rozner needs to be told to STFU with "Why do you hate McGowen bit", golf odds, Larry talking comics and other awful items.
3. Baseball - too easy. Should've had a HR Derby league like NSD had last year, fantasy baseball etc.
4. But don't be jealous of football. Baseball is his expertise but football is the moneymaker. Mackeyfish has a made a great living off football, guy talk and skating through the other 3 sports.
5. Find new guests. ZZ, Len, Ashburner don't need to be on every Score show.
6. The biggest issue though is he needs to have a fucking opinion. He's way too afraid to criticize. He's freaking soft serve cheerleading every team. The hardest he's gone on is the Miami Heat. Time to stop being a pussy and speak up.

I'd settle for him just finishing the pronunciation of words.

Such as when he'll say "yeah, a li'l bi...li'l bi..." when he wants to to say "a little bit".

He should have taken over the show. With Mac gone and technically out of his contract this is ostensibly the Spiegel show and yet he hasn't actually taken charge of it. Whoever guest hosts with Spiegs is pretty much allowed full control over the show's direction, including taking the lead on interviews.

Then there's the whole time-off situation. I'm not usually one to take a guy to task for using whaever time off he is granted by his employer but if you want to know how Spiegs could have taken more initiative, showing up everyday would be a good start. Again, this is ostensibly his show now, not a team thing. Spiegs is taking as much, if not more, time-off now as he did when he was Mac's sidekick. That's the biggest issue with Spiegs, he still actively seeks out the sidekick role, the role with less responsibility. That can't be acceptable for the only guy in the room with his name on the show. At the very least, he does not deserve praise for doing a piss poor job.
