B&B should understand. They always talk about "it's just business" and those dudes haven't been getting it done.

So you are assuming that this is happening because management does not want to pay Mac.

Sounds to me like it is way more likely that Mac just doesn't want the grind anymore.

As much as it pains me, I must agree with the gentleman from Missouri.

I'd bet the sticking point was the time slot...that both sides would have been able to quickly come together on a dollar amount without that caveat.

Predictable Larry reaction. Classic Larry, actually. Shot at Mac with the "No big deal" insinuation. Then immediately goes to kissiing B&B's ass.

What about the possibility of Mac joining the Steve Dahl network? Broadcasting from home would seem to be something of interest to Dan.

I have no idea of the salary demands, etc., but despite being the most popular show at the Score, I'd have a hard time paying additional/more $$ for a guy who seems to be on vacation more often than working, and when he is working, only cares about NHL/NFL.

I get he's earned his vacation time, you get what you negotiate, but I became an ex-listener because he just wasn't there often enough and was bored by most sports.

It's subtle, but I read that as a dig, not to mention, doesn't Holmes have a reputation for breaking bad on ex-Score employees?

I do think if he is looking for a job, it's completely on his terms at this point (lots of vacation, $$$, etc.). Will be interesting to see if WGN negotiates against itself.

It was a dig cuz he went out of his way to be dismissive. Didn't have to do it that way. Could have just sent out a tweet sucking up to B&B. But no, he wanted to first kick Dan McNeil in the balls.

He probably hates Mac because he thinks Mac took his gig away. No Larry, Hamp and Holmes being bad took your gig away.

I heard he also has a reputation for talking about female newscasters!
