If Goff had never left for Atlanta he'd be the lead candidate to get Mac's job. Maybe not, though. You never really knew what Mitch and Zim thought of him. Sure, they gush over him, but they gush over all of their guys. It's kind of what they have to do.

I'll bet you Goff believes that he would have been the guy had he stayed. Being fired from CBS a few months ago means he can't get it now.

Here's what might happen. They give it to Mannelly for 6 months. Just for the football season. Then reevaluate and perhaps give into to somebody else. Maybe even Mac.

If either of the 2 former Bears get it, it will be a huge mistake. Outside of football, neither brings much to the table, and even football is pushing it. They really need to fire Porky or push him to weekend duty. He has no value, and without Mac there, I don't see a reason to keep him. Let him go pretend he is a music star. Give the show to Drinky and Goff.

I still say Rozner gets it.

I don't think drinky is really in the running in Mitch's mind. I just think Mitch feels like he has to make drinky believe he has a shot since he's been at the station so long. It's one of those things. Mitch just doesn't have the heart to tell drinky he sucks at talk show hosting.

You know, Boers has said this for years. I always thought he was joking. But he's not. Cuz one time in tranny Spiegel asked if he was serious and Boers said "Yes, said he couldn't work with Matty. Said it wasn't the right fit."

Let's be honest. Fred was nervous drinky would replace him. But it's still funny that Fred was able to get rid of drinky.

So when is this decision gonna be made? Haven't they had enough time to figure out who they want knowing that Mac leaving was a possibility 9 weeks ago.

Or is Zim gonna string this out more and save money. I mean if these subs are getting paid scale per show he saves money over paying a contracted employee.

To be listenable Rozner would have to change a great deal of his radio show delivery, his bits etc. Right now he's terrible, I guess he's been terrible for a while.

Actually more than 9 weeks. Zim and Mitch new this was a possibility 6 or 8 months ago.

So like, uh, did Meatpants "seize the opportunity" then since it's becoming his show? Has he firmly grabbed the proverbial "bull by the horns?"
