Well, it happened, Mac is no longer at The SCORE. He chose to sit this one out and take his talents elsewhere, where that is I don't know. He asked for things he knew he would not get or he asked for things he thought he deserved and overestimated himself, his worth and the patience/goodwill of his bosses. Drive time and a 200k raise? Really? God knows how much vacation time he asked for. Where does Mac go from here? Who knows, ESPN won't ever have him back and there has been zero talk about the other stations in town. I hope he gets back on the air at some point during drive time but even if he did that would he actually be on the air with any consistency? Would he be engaged and with it or just fall back into old routines? Also, what the fuck was Meat talking about Mac not wanting to be a "dancing monkey..." or whatever? To get home at 530pm and have "work" to do afterwards? Most people actually have jobs where they get up early and get home at 530pm, shower, eat, play with kids, do errands, mow lawn, cook, clean and then go to bed only to get up the morning and *GASP* do it all over again. They just don't have the luck to be able to wake up and be able to call talking sports on the radio, getting paid handsomely, getting half a year of vacation time, comped tickets, press passes etc, there job. This is where Mac loses me and may lose me forever.
Now we have to face a 9-1pm show that features Meat and Whoever. It will probably be Rozner meaning I won't listen to the show much anymore. Rozner is terrible, he is unlistenable. If he is to have the 2nd banana position he will have to do major surgery to his delivery and persona to make it doable, he should then also do gastric bypass/stomach staple surgery on Meat before he eats himself to death. Or did Meat already have that surgery and just ended up eating around it or growing a 2nd stomach out of pure evolutionary adaptation?
Whatever. Buckle up and listen, I guess. Or maybe you should take the safe route and unbuckle yourself and then jump out of this radio car into the wild unknown.
