Isn't today the HUGE DAY where we find out who the new showstopper is? Who the new partner is? Who is going to change the face of radio as we know it?

Yeah, it's probably Drinky.

Maybe this will finally settle things (for a while until it's changed) and allow the direction of the show to be set and actually be listenable....probably not.

Meat couldn't bring himself to do any show prep or try to do anything at all since Mac took yet another extended leave so what makes us think he anything will change?

The Future:
1 - Taking tons of time off for his cover band even when he is now the lead on the show
2- Radio bits that are totally suited to TV
3- Smarm

Have Fun

It is hilarious. In the first week of Mac being officially gone Spiegel went to Vegas to work a different job and is then taking off for at least part of next week and maybe the whole thing.

They shouldn't even put his name in the show title.

Agree, too many days off for another gig. Mac brought in the ratings. His name alone was worth something, proof in that they kept his name on everything until the last second. I am just so surprised that they let him take off as much time as they do.

This is why I don't think Mannelly can be the co-host. Is he really going to be able to carry the show when Meatpants is becoming someone else? Mannelly has been a radio guy for about 3 weeks.

Abattacola will fill in

The ratings will take a huge dive, assuming Spiegs work habit of talking about stuff and not doing it continues.

Mannelly is definitely the new host.

15 minuets in and it is obvious that Grimace should not be sitting in the big chair. If he had talent, he could bring out a personality in the f'ing long snapper. Douche and dishwater, mid mornings on 670 the Score.

Moving to the Game

I was listening, then Spiegs needs to spend time on catching up the Bears expert on what happened with the Bears during the week. :D

Why all the procrastination? This is ridiculous. They have had long enough to figure this out and make a decision. Just say it! D & D mid days 9-1 on The Score!

I hope the delay means big change but I know it probably doesn't.

So the announcement comes on a day when Grimace is on the PUP list?
Interesting.

Here's a question, and it is one I have been thinking about:

If Douche & dishwater is the new midmorning show, will they have to put a third person in? I mean Grimace can barely drag his tubby purple ass in four days a week. dishwater is barely able too be a sidekick, how is he going to be the driver?

Yes Chicago is Bears crazy, but dishwater is just a long snapper, are people going to tune in to hear this? Judging from the ratings, they are not tuning at all.

Why they don't move the WB Club from Saturdays to mid-mornings makes no sense.

If anything ever needed a enema badly it is 670.

What's with the increased adolescent moaning & groaning from Spiegel while somebody is saying something he doesn't like or agree with lately? I know he has done this sparsely in the past but the last few weeks have been ramped up tremendously. Very annoying...

I could see this happening as there isn't a real standout among the guys who got tryouts. Maybe a Meat, Mannelly, Goff lineup?

The Score doesn't care. They're dumb. It's run by high-functioning morons. They think "more Bears" is the answer to everything. Management can always get a drinky or a Grote to sub in for Spiegel.

With Fatpants Grimace in there they probably couldn't fit a third guy in the studio

If they put Goff with D & D, it wouldn't take long for him to break out as alpha dog and lead that pack. Would be interesting to see how Spiegel deals with that dynamic.

Regardless of who replaces Mac, this show will continue to suck, because Spiegel cannot drive a show. His ideas suck. Now we're taking calls on how Mannelly should watch a game. Brutal. He's as bad as Harry at show ideas!

How's the show going? I am listening to The Game. No Kapp, McDoink is sitting in for him. Not bad. Actually listen to the person they interview and ask good questions. Plus no taste tests. The news babe however is as bad as Kerry, but sounds like she has spent all night smoking and drinking bourbon.

Just a joke, noname - that's what Sarah sounds like. I've heard Brooke as well, you are correct.
