1) Meat isn't going anywhere. He has a contract. Wishing him away won't do any good.
2) Goff is not coming. If he was able to be hired, or wanted to hire him, he would have been by now.
3) Who cares how much time Spiegs takes off? The show quality improves by a factor of ten when he is not there. This includes dead air.
4) Mac owes us NOTHING! He has to do what is best for himself and his family, not us.

Don't go down this path, leash.

You know all to well where it ends.

Binarily?

I need to check if that's an actual word.

In a previous thread I read Meat is off next week.
It is hilarious. In the first week of Mac being officially gone Spiegel went to Vegas to work a different job and is then taking off for at least part of a next week and maybe the whole thing.

They shouldn't even put his name in the show title.

Agree, too many days off for another gig. Mac brought in the ratings. His name alone was worth something, proof in that they kept his name on everything until the last second. I am just so surprised that they let him take off as much time as they do.

Mitch doesn't seem to care much whether his hosts show up or not. Now, I've never run a radio station, but it seems to me like high-attendance rate would be a priority. Not only for the sake of the listeners, but also so you wouldn't be constantly juggling your roster.

High attendance has never really been a priority. See WLUP or stern. Those guys constantly had best of days.

If you're going to take time off, the last week before Bears season at a station obsessed with eating, breathing, and shitting the Bears would be the time to take off. But Spiegel already takes so much time off as it is, so...

Yeah but that time off has windows. They only allow the week vacations at certain times, and he likely had it planned earlier or not but you can't blame Spiegs on this.

I think it is the perfect time for a week's vacation. Announce the new show next week and have them start it the week the NFL kicks off.

How many times in the first week will Spiegel "subtly" let his co-host know that he's in charge?
