If this is true, I sticking to calling it Douche & dishwater. There will be no reason to listen to this station then

Is Mannely a bad thing? I heard him on Friday and thought he was decent. Beats a crabby, jaded middle-aged guy.

I believe he went on the record within his first few minutes on the air as saying that he couldn't and wouldn't be objective of the Bears because he still has so many teammates and friends on the team. So if you want the Score to add yet another person telling you that a team that goes around 8-8 every year and usually misses the playoffs is great and awesome and narrative-changing, then, as Big Voice Guy says, KEEP IT HERE!

Mike North would outdraw everyone in Chicago if you could convince him to take a reasonable salary. If Boers makes a half mil, North is worth at least double that.

My friend tried talking to North to work on his station 2 years ago. He was still insistent on getting a million a year, while that number has softened I am sure, he would want more than Terry. He was offered 300 at the time I believe. Anyway, he might generate more ratings but not at his price and I personally can't stand northie. While Bernstien became too smart for himself, that guy feels like he is sucking intelligence out of me. Mac was a nice medium. MJH was actually a really nice mix. John plays more meatball than he is. Although that might have been the biggest waistline show ever. Cumulative..
Ed Swartz and "murdercycle" Bob Collins likely were individually bigger than Harry.

He can't anymore leash.

Mike became unlistenable and little has changed over the last four years. He may even be worse now.
The money isn't the issue. Mike's ego and belief of his own bullshit is.

Considering only one station even made him an offer, why would you say he is worth anything?

M&H walked right into the same time slot North had for 5 years. They didnt have any promo, any T shirts, no wacky bits and doubled Norths ratings in 6 months and held them at that point?

Nothing supports having Mike North as part of a radio station.

You're telling me that if you ran The Game and you could get Mike North at a reasonable price, you'd say No?

Listen, I dislike North as much as you do. Dude dug his own grave. But his name alone would be worth it.

Not unless Mike made radical changes to his act.

There are many people who dislike him as much as you do.

Could you get North to agree to no politics and a co-host/producer of the station's choosing? That's the only way I'd cautiously consider involving him.

Preeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeety sure I saw M&H billboards, bigfan.

Also, didn't they immediately replace the MNMS home plate banners with M&H? I also recall that Mully, early on, raffled off the opportunity to watch him breast feed his child in the studio -- while hugging a black guy.

I agree with you.

But Mike wouldn't consider it before he left the Score. I don't see him doing it now.

Obviously oblivious? He clearly knows he don't know.

Yep, there was a huge promotional push behind the M&H shit show.

More lies and misinformation BigFan.

That doesn't mean they were/are good.

The White Sox may lose 97 games this year, which is an improvement over last season, but its still not good.

Clearly a hidden meaning. That or he was just being honest that it was nice seeing old friends.
