I am not aware of anything, but Mac for a couple of hours each week during Bears season is a no brainer.

Kind of like the way Giangreco shows up when the weather is warm with Silvy and Waddle.

This station is a disaster. I don't think Mac would ever set foot in there unless they REALLY opened the checkbook. It's a laughingstock and would be a career killer for him.

If Mac used The Game as leverage during negotiations, I'm sure the other side of the table just laughed at him. He's not going there.

I hope Mac and Finfer hook up. I have no use for Quigs or whoever that is, but I have given it a listen due to the unstable nature of The Score midday show. I've been mildly enjoying Harry, Spike and Jarrett...mostly because it has a slight feel (generic albeit) of MJH.

I'm sure there's another thread about it, but I wish that Drinky and Spiegs (two Matts..wow) would have been the new show.

There is lots of bad on that station, but I do enjoy Brandmeier a little and HJS, Finfer is decent. Other than that....not so good. Connor McKnight and and Mark Harmon (who the fuck?) sounds like a college radio show.

It's a startup station and maybe they could have had a little more planning, but its not like David Hernandez is behind them, WGN is.

WGN is losing the cubs and in time, I can see them losing the Hawks, they are not going to want to be in a bidding war, thus creating their own programming.

They need a better signal and I believe they are ready to buy, once one hits the sale block and you need to have everything ready, a following, programming etc.

It's a great business plan that still needs to be executed, but you start with a plan when you do things.

Why do people think that Mac still can/wants to go join a startup station that sucks? That involves working and being on your game. Two things that Mac was lacking in his second stint at the Score. He just wants to cut his grass, fish and watch football and hockey. I can't blame him, he's earned that by being a hell of a radio host. I just dont think he has it in the tank to build a new station from scratch.

Here is my guess. Mac has some deal with THE GAME, I have no idea what the deal is. He is telling NOBODY! Not even hinting at it and actually trying to Not hint at it.

All that matters is ad revenue, which is obviously driven by ratings. I believe The Score billed $25 Million last year, which was up a few % from the previous year.
