Fantastic is a bit much but much, but I would listen to that show. It would be fun. Oh by the way fuck you Mitch. You ruined my favorite station.

Think of the original Score lineup

Tom Shaer
Jiggets and North
McNeil and Boers
Murph and Fred
Hell....Mike Greenberg as an update guy

Why is it, that Danny Lee could put talent like that together from scratch, and Mitch has done nothing but guide the station into oblivion?

Screw it, the Game is the new Score. Mac may well land there before too long and it will just be that much better.

I actually think this three man team would lay to waste 670's show. No matter what you say about Drinky, him and Mac had a good rapport with each other, and the two were a good match. With Mac, Drinky did not come across as a low rest B&B clone. With Drinky, Mac actually seemed as if he was interested and engaged. The three would do a good job keeping each other in check.

I agree with you EL, Mitch fucked up my favorite station.

One thing the three man weave is good for is time off. When one is gone it is not a complete change to sub out.

I agree, as much as I seem to not like Drinky in his tryouts, sticking him in a 3-man would work. And between he and Goff they have enough interest in MLB and the NBA to not let Mac run the show entirely towards NFL/Hawkey/wagering.

This would be a fantastic show.

And the show could still sustain itself with all the extended vacations Mac takes. Drinky or Goff could step in and drive the show during Mac's time off.

Finfer and his Kermit the Frog voice should not be anywhere near a radio microphone.

He does have a Len Kasper kermit the frog type voice, but he meshes great with Mac...knows all his gambling likes n dislikes..he's well prepared for every show n knowledgeable ...Hood is smoother n knowledgeable , the 3 Would make a great trio..even with Mac going Awol for weeks @ a time.

Did Abattacola kill your dog or something?

Finfer should not be on the mic. Hood spells team with a I.

I agree that he should not be near a microphone, but it's more the content than his voice. I liked him alright when he would sub with Mac. But since joining The Game, he's awful. I think he's the first to lose the on-air duties at The Game. Maybe they keep him around to produce after they add more talent.

With Howard Griffith departing from the 12pm-3pm show at The Game, this would seem to be a fit for Dan McNeil. He has said he wants to do a show on afternoon drive. Ben Finfer, who has worked as a producer on his show on The Score and ESPN1000, is a co-host of this program on The Game. But the question might be whether McNeil still has the "fire in the belly" necessary for the gig?

Noon to 3 is still middays, though. Arbitron-->Nielsen defines the afternoon daypart as 3 to 7. That's the time for Mac to "get people home" and bring in the big billing.

The two really had great chemistry together.

They will DESTROY Bernstein, too. Drinky knows all of his weaknesses.

Also, it is like the same age gap as HFC, but with Mac playing the elder statesman this time around - THE COMPLETED CIRCLE!

THE SON BECOMES THE FATHER, AND THE FATHER. . . THE SON!

I think Mac hated drinky. Probably just as much as he hated Goff though it never boiled over like that one did. But they had some weird, tense exchanges on the air. Drinky would do his thing where he tried to talk to Mac and Spiegel during the updates. Ya know, his bad jokes or gibberish talk. Mac didn't suffer him the way B&B do when he does it.

So 4 hours of talking to idiot drinky on an actual show? No. Mac would not want that. I don't know who the hell would want that, by the way.

C'mon, he's taking Finfer to afternoons. It's gonna be Mac, Finfer and Harry. Not a doubt in my mind.

Plus, even if Mac didn't hate drinky, why would he want to bring a bad Bernstein clone to his new show which is attempting to beat the actual Bernstein? Doesn't make sense.

Abbattacola is awful. Finfer is 100x better than he is in everything about radio, even his voice.

I have not heard Finfer much. Not at all at his new place. But I stopped listening to Rongey 4 years ago for this very reason. That guy is the king of killing time. That's his style of talk show hosting. Killing the time. You're right. He says nothing of substance.

He hosts White Sox pre and post game. What else does he have to kill besides time?

I would imagine Finfer would defer to his old master. Finfer needs Mac. Mac doesn't need Fifer.
