He is a character. My first time hearing him other than Danny Mac stories. Definitely a good check-in guy to shoot the shit for 15 minutes. He has thoughts!

he didn't go into much detail other than to say that she has known for 25 years that she was the reason he got fired and that she has never once admitted it...and he has had to "live" with that. Basically it sounds like she didn't like him and was working behind the scenes to get him fired. Chet also commented on the fact that 15 days earlier (before his firing) he was the one who broke the story about the death of george halas. The day that happened...one of the "suits" came up to him, congratulated him, and told him he'd like to give him a 100 year contract if he could. 15 days later he was gone.

Didn't hear Chet today. He was definitely a pioneer. That was a long time ago though.

I watched Chet on the Comcast tv version of Kap & Haugh. I thought it was a fine interview. My thoughts on Kaplan have changed. He does a fine job and I will probably make the permanent move to 87.7 during his time period.

I find it curious how on David Haugh’s twitter profile it only states “Tribune columnist” under his name without any mention still of his role as a talk show host on The Game, even though the radio gig started back in February.

Haugh's been trying to add it for months but no one's had the heart to tell him typewriters don't tweet.

Got nothing against the Kap and Haugh gig, they need to do something though. Entertainment would be good. contest, bit...once again...no production. Argue sports, take calls, read texts...commercial....repeat.....

Right now,the best sport talker on radio. Nothing on ESPN or WSCR is an easier or more pleasant listen than Kap & Haugh.
