I would love to have been a fly on the wall that evening.

I'd make a donation to an autism charity to get the invite next year.

I'd even get you a private room with booze and cigars provided for free...as we had at our fantasy draft attended by much smaller shooters.

Spiegs claimed he took a 2 a.m. cab home. Probably true.

This is the same guy who couldn't work from 9 AM to noon on Saturday morning because he wanted to spend more time with his family, right? Sounds like Spiegel is coming after Kaplan's Father of the Year trophy.

I refuse to listen to this new show if Meatpants continues to say "Adam Haaaaaaaaaaris" during transition. Nope. Never.

It's the second week of the new show, and he is already taking a day off?

Paul Simon is okay in my book, but this would be an awful show to see a cover band perform.

Well yeah, his radio show is a hobby. The fact they did not nuke his ass and put fresh blood in the spot, really shows how fucked 670 is.

Hell, I only know what it going on due to this forum. I have not listened since Douche and dishwater was announced.

It's a pity you missed Spiegel and Thurgood discussing the finer points of criminal law this morning. I was waiting for Score Legal Expert dan bernstein to phone in. Maybe in transition.

I am sure that was scintillating conversation, and Grimace showed off his depth of knowledge. I am sure Dan is chomping at the bit to display his Coffeehouse Knowledge. I bet there is going to be yelling.

I'm not listening, I am watching the Apple press event. That is going to be more entertaining then this crap.

Mike North and Thurgood would be a way better show than anything currently on The Score. There's an idea for The Game. Are you listening, Deacon?

Meat/Snapper combined salaries are a quarter of what north is asking for. Will never happen

Thurgood called Waddle & Silvy yesterday. I didn't hear the whole call, but he seemed to think that Ray Rice was being unfairly treated because he's black. I would imagine W&S just let him talk and said "OK, thanks for the call, Thurgood."

I didn't catch the beginning today, but I think that was the jist of this one too. Thurgood wanted to discuss it in bernsteinian legal terms and Spiegel was coming at it from the "hitting a woman is evil and should be punished severely no matter what" angle.

I haven't really followed this too much. It seems somewhat amusing to me that in the National Murder League smacking your girlfriend and fighting dogs are considered the worst violations. But according to Thurgood, Rice has already been convicted and sentenced by a court. Is that true?

He started off his call on W&S by saying he's a lawyer, and maybe he is, but he sounded so over-the-top serious that it was almost comical and I was waiting for him to start misusing words Oswald Bates style.

I heard him say to that Spiegel about Rice. I would think that would have been big news, but I don't recall hearing that.

That's Thurgood's style. I have my doubts he's really a lawyer too. If he were, he would likely have pointed out that from a practical standpoint, it's very difficult to prosecute a case like that when the victim doesn't want to participate. But maybe he said that before I tuned in.

And how does it help the girlfriend Rice punched, who is now his wife, to take away Rice's salary for a year?

Thurgood is always good for a few laughs. I'm giggling just think of him and North doing a show together.

Mully made a point that the reason the Raven's may not have suspended him "in house" was that that would freeze his salary, where as releasing him gets him the money owed on his contract. So maybe the Ravens are thinking about Rice's wife's "well being"?
