From 72-58 to 74-70

Unreal. This is some 69 Cubs type stuff. They're gonna finish 30 games back!

The '07 Brewers utterly shat the bed, too, opening up the NL Central for the Cubs to take it with just 85 wins and lose to a Dbags team that had guys with names like "Conor Jackson."

Arizona of the mid-2000s had a Plan, too, as I recall. Unfortunately, their Plan largely revolved around a Drew, and everyone knows the Drews are the biggest dicksmacks of a generation.

Yeah, its crazy. That was only six years ago. Baseball's landscape changes so quickly

That was the time of Johan, Webb, Grady Sizemore, Dan Haren, Vlad, Magglio

Can we get this back on track to the Brewers sucking and looking like a team that doesn't even want to show up to play on a nightly basis, very sad. :(

Nothing but the local yocals. Also, the fans the crowds recently have been awful, the announced ticket sales to the number of people in the seats is not close.

By the way, you should have titled this thread The Brewers and A's collapse, MERCY!!!

It has been sad. I was really looking forward to having a team to root for in the playoffs. I find it hard to
stomach rooting for the Cardinals. I'd be willing to root for the Pirates if they can sneak in but I still have
a shred of hope the Brew Crew can pull it together the next 3 weeks.

I honestly don't and I can't believe that. To watch just a lifeless team play is hard to stomach. I was a big fan of Roenicke's but he has to take the fall for this one, for some reason he has lost that team. I have said that I wonder if something happened internally in that clubhouse that has pulled this team apart. Normally if it did it would come out, but damn this has been awful.

Or they just suck and played way above their heads in April?

Or maybe they all hate Braun now

The starting pitching which had been really good is god awful right now, I can see where some of the hitters were streaky, but the starting pitching should no way be this bad.

This is the infuriating thing about The(o) Plan. Even if they eventually are a good team, they conceded half a decade, knowing your above thought to be true.

Braun's the luckiest guy in the world. Juice up to get the $150m contract, apologize, and then become a .270, 20 HR guy for the rest of your career. Fuck him.

A whole lot of that going on up here, and I can't blame anyone.

That was my response to Lucroy saying the Brewers are a better team. I'm glad he feels that way. I'll let the standings decide that

I guess, but I would expect any player to say that about their squad.

Don't be that guy.

And like Hawg stated, what else do you want Lucroy to say? His team sucks?

I thought I saw that quote came out after the last game in the Cards series?

Maybe so, but I just remember it from earlier in the year. Oh well, it clearly is not the case.

Regardless if it's true or not, I think anyone faulting the guy for saying so would do well to point their disgust elsewhere.

I may actually tune into some of this game on ESPN tonight. They have a series with the Cardinals and then
I believe they have 3 coming up against Pittsburgh this weekend. Only 1.5 games behind Pittsburgh for a wild
card spot. They need to start playing better now and winning a series against the Cards would be big.
