But isn't the legal system hesitant to file charges in cases like this because they don't want to make kids into wards of the state (costing money and perhaps making a bad situation worse)? I mean, it does make sense if you're looking at it in the right way. May explain why Peterson escaped charges after the first Grand Jury.

I think they always charge in situations like this. His celebrity may have helped him. There was an open wound on his body every other inch. He should spend time in prison.
