All this because I was a no-show at Lakemoorfest?

Next year, I promise.

Gout is remarkably the most pain I have ever been through. Broke 4 bone, umpteen sprained ankles, 3 hyper extended knees but the fucking
gout laid me out  Never had a headache and rarely get hungover so I really feel for you guys who get
those turn out the lights and go to bed migranes. My wife gets them all the time. :(

I used to get the occasional bad migrane, but haven't had one in about 4 years or so.

It may be no coincidence that since I restored my iodine intake, I've had very few health problems.

Any of you who've stopped using iodized table salt, please for your own sake reconsider. Big pharma doesn't want you to remember that this simple means of adding iodine to your diet does your body a whole lotta good.

I had crushed bricks and mortar dropped on my head from 30 feet above. I looked like a scene from a slasher film. That hurt

Emotional. No doubt.
Not trying to sound like a tough guy here but I basically bleed some almost every day. A sheet metal screw here, a slipped hammer blow there. I broke my toe a few months ago and was like well that's broke... and went about my day cause I know they can't do shit for a broken toe. Heard it snap and everything. As I get older that stuff tends to affect me less and less.
Things that happened to me when I was a kid still effect me to this very day.

You sound like a guy with a lot of emotional pain.

I had a bone bruise in my foot. Excruciating. I rubbed it on the bed sheet the next morning and screamed. Basically couldn't walk for a couple days.

I took a racquetball straight to the eye once. That was incredibly painful, and left me with a real nice shiner. Fortunately it only lasted a couple of days.

Other than a toothache or sprain here and there, nothing that bad. I've been lucky in that regard.

What's the worst physical pain you have experienced?

Hmmm. Maybe my broken hand. I punched a wall and broke three bones. My pinkie was pointing 90 degrees from my Palm.
One thing I never learned to handle was my migraines.

Migraines are the worst. I have them now and then especially when stressed. Bad deal. Those that do not have them do not understand.

I have had two migraines, and they were probably the worst things ever.

I had one this summer. It felt like my head was in a vise. It took about three weeks for me to drag my stubborn ass into the doctor's office. He gave me some antibiotics, and I was good to go in about 48 hours.

I have a torn labrum in my left shoulder that's going to need surgery. It was something I've lived with/managed since last winter but has gotten progressively worse the past couple of months. Now, when I lift my arm to put on a shirt, if I move the wrong way, it's 15-20 seconds of "can't open my eyes" pain.

When I had the MRI on it, I was asked multiple times how I injured it. I wish I had a good story. Getting old is an mf'er.

I'll tell you what, let's make a trade. I'll take the emotional scars you got from the time little Billy took your lunch on the playground and you can have my day to day back pain from having 7 spine surgeries. Deal?

You've been real lucky if getting a black eye is the most pain you've ever had. Playing hockey I've had several of those, don't remember them ever hurting though.

I said I was lucky. Maybe a bit smart too. I know that if I had 7 back surgeries, I wouldn't be playing hockey or golf anymore.

Broke my collar bone when I was born and nobody realized it for about 4 weeks. They just thought I was irritable.

Broke my leg as a youth. That wasn't too bad. It's when I took up golf on the walking cast.

Broke my ribs a couple times. That hurt but it was that exhilarating type of pain that reminds you that you're alive. I could go for another rib crack these days.

Had debilitating migraines when I was having dental work as a teenager. That was bad. The kind like if you sit up you get dizzy and puke. Had 10 of those over a two month period. Glad they never came back.

Had my hand slammed in a car door but was still able to make it to the beerfest. The taxi driver was kind of freaking out but there was beer to be drunk.

The worst, though, was walking around for 5 weeks with a misdiagnosed broken jaw. That was a one-hour heat pack for every 6 bites of food. You learn to hate food.

Oh, forgot one of the worst - severely sprained my ankle playing basketball one time but decided to keep playing on it for another hour, quite naturally.

When I got home, it was 2x the regular size and completely black all the way to the toes, quite naturally.

I couldn't walk on it correctly for about 4 months.
