I just wanted to recommend a book, for those of you who like to read. The book is called 'The Breaker Boys' By David Flemming. It is the story of the 1925 Pottsville Maroons and how they got the 1925 NFL championship taken away from them. The book is a big deal here because I live 4 miles from Pottsville. The book comes out on Tuesday nationwide, but has been selling here for a while. I bought and I have been reading it and it is very enjoyable, especially if you like football.

I just read "Bleachers" by John Grisham. It's about high school football. It's a pretty fast read too, I read it in two sittings.

I remember hearing about this story before. Weren't the Chicago Cardinals awarded the championship in 1925?

Yes. Read it a few years ago. Decent read.

Yes they were, and there is much discussion of that in the book. The Cardinals didn't really take pride of having the 25 championship until the Bidwell family took over ownership and then they were quite proud of it.

Considering how the franchise has done since then, can't blame them.

As long as we're talking football books, The Blind Side was a very enjoyable read.

Grisham's new book 'Playing for Pizza' is also about football. I've only read the first few chapters (stupid late baseball games!) it's enjoyable so far.
