This is a classic example of managers being more capable of hurting their team than helping.

Maybe tough guy Dale Svuem gets that gig next year.

And brings in Quade to clap every other second!

Svuem is a good manager. That would be a big improvement for KC.

I think I can do a better job than Yost if I had a click-counter and lap top. I wanna try.

So the A's put in Soto to catch Lester, even though he never caught Lester before, simply because he would stop the Royals from stealing bases, yet he lets up a stolen base, strikes out and gets hurt. I think the A's lucked out.

Anyways, none of this will matter as the A's aren't going far.

I'm thinking it will be Anaheim and LA in the World Series.

I just can't believe he took out their guy after 88 pitches. The guy they sold the future for. Big Game James. Makes absolutely no sense.

Embarrassing how often Darling called him that. The Big game title was better before 08

They were probably "saving" him like Cubs with Zambrano in 07.

I think that is the most frustrating part. There's no rhyme or reason to anything.

As a 12 year old Apologist, the '85 series haunted me for years. I used to imagine Denkinger would jump out from under the bed; and ruin all my dreams.

I feel kinda bad for Royals fans. The division is going to be a lot tougher next year with the Sox and Twins improving.

How bout Dunn waiting 14 years to go to playoffs and he's not in the lineup of a possible elimination game?

Fat Redneck represents the tying run at the plate. If he goes yard the place will go nuts, they love him there. I was at a game at Kaufmann in April and Butler gets the loudest ovation by far.

Birds of a feather I guess.

I'm fairly certain that was why Sveum was fired. Plate discipline wasn't his best attribute.
