This will be another game where Forte will be given the ball early and often. The Panthers are near the bottom of the NFL in run defense. Offensively the Panthers haven't been good running the ball and it won't get any better because they will be without Williams and Stewart. Cam Newton is still limited and they've struggled putting points on the board this season (18 ppg). This will be a good day for the Bears defense. This should prevent Cutler from having to drop back and pass a lot with Bushrod out.

I'd like to see the Bears D step up and maybe create some new looks to confuse Newton.

you know guys, it's fashionable to shit on emery because he's missed on sooooooo many draft picks (while other teams have no less than a 75% star/pro-bowl-player ratio) but like i said, emery gets my "nas pass" because one of the first fundamental things he did for this bears team out here these last few years is say "we need to get jay some weapons. i know, let's pay whatever it takes to get his BFF brandon marshall"

and hey, remember when emery came in that whole o-line got revamped into one that had the legendary health last year? well even with a revolving door of OLmen this year jay has time to do things like throw deep passes, or make those 8-30yd runs that he's only able to make cuz the OL can protect him long enough to see a play break down and instead of forcing 100% of the balls for INTs/pick6s/etc he takes off to unleash a well-timed-run for pure excellence.

i love jay cutler's ability to run the ball as the quarterback, and his timing is excellent more often than not. and that's because after getting marshall emery was like "ok jay needs an offensive like.... no more games of smear the queer and btw our chainsmoking quarterback has an autographed picture on the wall of the legendary chicago bar/nightlife institution "the man hole"

so yeah cheery-oh emery! i know the modern man must hustle and hatters gonna hat and all of that, but your decision to put your eggs in the offensive basket will pay dividends someday cuz idk what year its gonna be, but if this fundamental offense stays together and jay stays on the field for 16 games + playoffs, yeah, he's gonna win a super bowl before he's done in chicago. maybe even a super bowel if you're lucky.
