An elite QB probably would have had more than zero touchdowns in the second half of consecutive games.

Elite QBs have lost games when their RB fumbles late in the 4th quarter, and special teams gives up a punt return TD.

I am not defending Cutler, but saying that an elite QB for sure would have won that game yesterday is false. There is lots of blame to go around with the debacle yesterday.

However you want to spin it, Cutler is not close to elite. Unless half the starters in the league are elite.

The new NFL means a 95 rating is good not very good.

Cutler is 13th overall.

 You would make a great Lovie Smith. I would love to hear "Jay has 13 touchdowns" replace Rex is our QB.

I'm done with this guy. Sign me up for whatever anti Cutler list is out there. How can you go silent against the Packers and Panthers defenses with the personnel you have? There's a lot of non Cutler reasons they're at 2-3 with embarrassing losses to the Panthers and Bills, but there's no reason to have any confidence in Cutler even if all those other problems are solved.

Jay has been in the league 9 years. He is what he is. Everyone knew who & what he was before the Bears gave him stupid money. He is an average QB. I believe Jay has 3 years guaranteed, but if this continues, & we have no reason to think that it wont, Jay will get run out of town before the 3 years are up. When Jays next injury occurs & Clauson plays well, things will get ugly for Jay.

Shouldn't your guy Emery go when Cutler goes?? Emery went all-in on Cutler. Takes quite a bit of cognitive dissonance to hate the Cutler contract and still think Emery is doing a fantastic job.

Yup. I agree. But if Trestman & Jay don't work out, I believe that Emery will get a another chance at another head coach & QB. That's what the Bears do. I thought Emery had built a really good team this year...& I was hoping that Jay would improve under Trestman. I am now questioning everyone & everything.
If Trestman would have hired Greg Williams or Jim Schwartz as Defensive coordinator, we aren't even having this discussion.

So what you are saying, in more ways than one, is that Mel Tucker is not one of the good ones?

I love Mike Tomlin though...

Jim Schwartz?

Kill me. I enjoy a prima donna as much as the next guy...more...but they at least have to have some personality.

Jim Schwartz is a very good Defensive coach. He knows Defense.

The Bears already commit too many penalties. Jim Schwartz would only exacerbate that problem.

You guys want Capers? I think I'd honestly take Tucker over him.

Depends.

Will he be awake during the games?

Agree, well not on the Tucker part. I have no idea why or how Dom still has a job as a defensive coordinator in the NFL.

Russell Wilson is the only good QB they have faced so far. It's not really hard to hold offenses led by Jay Cutler and Christian Ponder in check.

Buffalo has been solid defensively since Jauron.

And they are pretty good now because Schwartz is a good DC.
