I was waiting to see if someone had posted this. A hell of a call by Turner. Clark was as open as any receiver can be. This is a great win and the Bears are back in it. The defense special teams played their ass off and the offense didn't fuck it up too much. You have to win any game you force 5 turnovers and get 3 of them in GB territory.

I was just going to go apeshit if they ran that.

That's what I thought too. But then I started to doubt myself.

Irrelevant point that I'm surprised Michael or Madden didn't make: Bears don't win this with Rex as our quarterback.

Tillman deserves a Pro Bowl nomination for his ball stripping alone. He's been doing this consistently for the past couple of years....and yes, I'm drunk!

I agree Nas. It was basically 4 turnover cuz that last one was catch it or game over anyway. I was mad cuz he should have just knocked it down -the game would have been over. That could have cost us if it was tipped.

But it's nice to win a game - on the road - against a 4-0 team- in your division. That says alot. The guys played tough.

Right. The Packers lost this more then the Bears won it. Terrible penalties on their part.

But hey, the Bears gave away the game vs Detroit last week. We got one back.

This is a nice win guys but lets be honest you can't expect the defense to force 5 turnovers every game. Also you can't win when you can't complete a pass in the air over 15 yards and have less than 60 yards rushing on 25+ carries. The offense has to help by making plays.

But the Bears success has always relied on the defense creating turnovers. This was really the first time this year that they were on the positive side of the TO equation.

I agree with the rest of your statement.

The reason I feel so good this morning is that you saw what the Packers are this year. Farve WILL throw many interceptions at inopportune moments. The line is not good enough to hold off pressure from a good defensive line. The running game doesn't have the ability to run the clock with a lead. The D is the only thing I fear about the Pack. I fully expect them to fade.

Also the Lions have played poorly for 7 of the last 8 quarters. They have no D a bad O line and Martz refuses to establish a running game.

I am not saying the Bears are great. What I am saying is that I expect the Pack to go 8-8, the Lions to go 7-9 and the Bears to go 9-7...and that makes me feel good.

...and the pack have zero running game. i think those handful of good plays against the bears last nite were a fluke. just as the bear offense still needs to step it up, green bay will not win 9 or 10 games by throwing the ball 45 times.

look for a lot more teams to use the shotgun against the bears. the one negative from last nite was that there wasnt a ton of pressure on farve. imean, they got to him here and there but not with any real regularity. im not sure they pressured him at all when he was out of the shotgun

Lets not get carried away. Great win for the Bears and its nice to see a glimmer of hope that there might actually be competition for the division now. Bears handily won the turnover battle, and they earned the win, but GB is winning at least 10 games this year, I thought that was obvious to you guys by now. Good win for the Bears and their fans though, they should take care of the Vikings next week and be 2-3.

Was at a kickass Phil Lesh show last night, was too damn fucked up to post at 3 AM after watching that pathetic display last night on Tivo. Hold onto the fucking ball. Nice strips by the Bears though, definitely forced fumbles

i bet green bay finishes at best 9-7. not that grossman is even in the same league as farve, but remember how great rex started out in 2006? he was the MVP thru week 6. farve will throw picks and end up costing green bay some games mainly because, like i said, they have zero run game and D's will just be waiting for him to pass.

...and the beloved will be 3-3 after next week.

Again lets not get carried away. Its obvious the Packers are for real, you guys won the TO battle 5-1 and won by 7. It kinda reminds me of the Bengals and Ravens on MNF in week 1. Look where the Bengals have got since then. Like I said it was a good win, but in no way is it indicative of a 9-7 season, they are gonna go better than 5-6 the rest of the way. The next 6 games are Washington Denver Kansas City Minnesota Carolina Detroit. They will go 5-1 in that stretch before most likely losing @ Dallas, which would make them 9-2 going into the Dallas game. This team doesnt suck just because they lost to a team that does, upsets happen.

Um the Packers were favored. Sorry, but it was an upset last night.

Without the 2 Jones-Tillman fumblestrips, Green Bay wins.

We need more brilliant analysis like this...How about "If San Diego, Dallas & Detroit didn't score, Bears win"

Besides...who says the Packers would've even scored on those possessions. Al Michaels kept saying that. They were 40 yards from the end zone. Bottom line, it happened, Bears win!

Only 2 games behind Green Bay with another game against them.

Why even bother with the receivers when you can get a 120 yard 2 TD game out of your TEs.

Good to see Bradley finally catch one.

No Darkside, you were right. Tillman's picture was the one last seen on the horse trailer.

My thoughts: as bad as Urlacher and Briggs seemed to play in the first half, they were as good in the second half. Benson seemed to be attacking the line / hitting the holes faster in the first half than in the second half. Maybe they need to spell him a little more.

True enough. Crucial strips of the Packer rookie by Tillman.
However, without a wang, my uncle is my aunt. You cannot change what happened. The point is they GOT the turnovers they've been for the most part missing and they didn't have multiple turnovers themselves.
