Well, it's been OK. OK?

The football talk is fine, Mannelly is actually being critical of the Bears although he is spotty at actually using names of players. He did go after Cutler though, which was nice to see. The bits kinda suck, they need callers to be fun. Would be a nice way to get a stable of "official listeners" that come to remotes and actually building the brand. But who knows where this goes.

That's it folks.

I guess Speigel won the Furious Five so he gets to pick the music for the week? I'm sure this will be an opportunity for the guy in the cover band to educate everyone as to what "real" music is.

"Sigh...you're not enjoying this for the correct reasons"

I just tuned in. During transition Spiegs mentioned he was going with a 1970s and 80s band
who he said was still going today. My initial guess would have been Lynyrd Skynyrd but I
don't see them as a band that Spiegel would get excited about.

Oh my that was classic.

Pat -- Will your wife let you keep that mustache?

Orton -- I think I have beat her down enough that I am going to get to keep it.

Spiegs -- I don't think you can say that.

So, they had Orton on to talk about his moustache? Great radio.

It was a short interview and they touched on the mustache but it was mostly football talk. I
thought it was a pretty good interaction with him and I guess he is pretty good friends with
Pat. I like the fact that he is able to get some guys you wouldn't normally get on for interviews
once in a while.

Do you know what time they plan on replaying it later?

Sorry I have no idea. I think they usually do the replays at the noon hour. Not sure if they will do this one.
I bet the interview was maybe 5 minutes at most.

I haven't listened yet but I am more intrigued by this than hearing Matt Bowen.

Little Feat is the band that Spiegel chose.

Due to the increase in quality of guests, questions and his ease of interaction, Pat has won me over.

Matt "I've never worn a jockstrap" Spiegel has become the show's Albatross.

Unless they interact more with the callers this show will whither come the end of football.

Furious Five (Styles)? Yeah Spiegs, we get it that you won. Invite callers or end the bit.

THIS. Get callers involved, build the brand, build a following. Make it fun, these are OK ideas but they suck when limited to the hosts and such. Lots of missed opportunities.

Missed opportunities but no missed meals.

Pat, way to put Hub Arkush on a tee and bang him through the uprights! He wrote it, you nailed him including a "where did you play your ball" question, and he was backtracking all over the place. Also, your perspective makes your partner seem less painful to endure.
