Did you see Jeffrey in the 49ers game? He looked like Paul Konerko running routes. He is not a speed burner anyway, but he was clearly 'running' much slower than usual.

Marshall had one catch in the Jets game because he was nowhere near 100%.

Last week was the first time Marshall was able to even try to practice all season. Jeffrey's hamstring/groin injury doesn't heal overnight. He's limited in which routes he can run.

Not running routes well, not able to get off jams from the CB. Things like that, plus it seems like they are really breaking down at the end of games. Just totally out of energy.

Taking out the offensive injuries, Trestman and Emery deserve to be fired for the defense and special teams.

If Nelson and Cobb were injured even the great Aaron Rodgers would have problems.

Special teams is a result of coaching. They just dont look like they ever know what they are doing. How they havent launched DeCamillis yet is mind-boggling.

I forgot to mention their FB was also lost for the season. So far only Cutler and the right side of the offensive line hasn't been injured. They've only played 5 games. It hurts preparation and their performance on Sunday's. That's why it's remarkable that Cutler has 13 touchdowns.

Why is it always about Cutler with you?

The defense has had just as many injuries. They've forced a lot of turnovers and statistically they are a lot better than they were last season. We now have a punter that can actually punt. #Progress

I understand how you feel. If I were a Packer's fan I would feel the same way. Clearly that's better than watching Eddie Lacy "run".

Lacy is struggling with the same injury that has caused Brandon Marshall to miss zero games this year.

They are not phantom injuries. Garza, Slauson, Fiametta, Bushrod, all starting offensive guys who have missed games with injuries. Allen, Tillman, Ratliff, all starters on the defensive side.

Yes, I watched the game and honestly didn't notice anything different. Just a lot of excuses, it is really sad.

Brandon Marshall played with an injury that the doctors told him should keep him out for 4 weeks. It will take another 3 weeks for him to get in game shape.

Questionable: Marshall, B - WR (built in excuse)

Nas, yours is the kind of optimism that I hope has a bit of history on its side and becomes infectious. Ditka started his 2nd season with modest results before his team went 5-1 over the last6 games of '83. So maybe 30 years later such a thing can happen again. However, the key trend is not the reliance on a roster of players who all have to be healthy at the same time in order for this team to be competitive but the emergence of new talent that can make an impact. Unlike that team which featured a tough aggressive defense and a vanilla offense, this team has a vanilla defense and an offense that is supposed to be cutting edge. Talent on one side of the ball (defense) can only carry you so far and on the other side the reliance upon every player being healthy in order to be successful is a crutch that won't work or won't exist.

So, I'm still reserving judgment because I know some wrong side of history and I thought at the time that you needed an offense to win a Super Bowl. I now believe you can't win without a stout defense.

Bottom line: If Trestman can't be a playoff contending coach then he needs to go. History says that won't be before the final year of his contract. Also, until he and Emery figure out how to develop a bottom of the roster instead of one that features the "player of the week from the streets in an impact role" then winning history won't be learned.
