I just choked one down and I'm suddenly in Culvers waiting for my radiator to cool down so I can add flush to it. It doesnt seem like everyone is looking at me I know they are.

I'm trying crc's nanotechnology head gasket fix. Pretty brutal procedure. Flush, fill with cleaner, drive, flush again. Mix nano sealer with hot water, fill radiator. Run engine for 30min. Drain system, leave drain open and cap off. Let dry empty for 12 hours. Flush with water. Drain and fill with antifreeze as normal. Idle engine for 30 min to finish curing.

Sounds easier to just fix the gasket.

251k miles on this motor. headers never taken off. would likely take all weekend to do a headgasket job on this thing, and if i saw how worn the cylinders were i would likely force myself to hone and re-ring it. fuck that, this truck isnt worth it

sealer seems to be working. idling for 5min only and the white smoke stopped. after 20min its purring like a kitten. has good pressure in the system and its not steaming out the pipe at all. going to let it idle for another hour, fuck it. without the thermostat in it, it doesnt even get up to temp

so far so good! antifreeze smell out the pipe is gone. no more smoke. idles like a sewing machine. lets just hope this holds for another 100k thats all i need
