Cardinal prospect who struggled most of the year ends up hitting a late inning game tying Homerun in NLCS

Sounds about right

It is a oblique strain, which does not bode well for him or the Cardinals for the rest of the playoffs.

I put no hope in this.

I fully expect AJ Fuckhead to have some huge moments for them as they advance to the World Series.

It is what they do

I haven't seen anything to suggest it isn't serious, I think it's safe to assume it is serious and I've already resigned he won't be seen again, barring a need for a WS DH option. "Strained oblique" doesn't sound bad at first, but given the demands of the Tools of Ignorance and his importance to the franchise, I'd be mildly surprised to seeing him playing or being productive this year.

Pierzynski probably goes with Lackey Tuesday, they have been together most of the year.

Catching is not the problem with it, swinging the bat is like having a knife stuck in your side.

Hawg, you seem like the type of fellow that might need all the oblique that you were given. Perhaps we could start up a kickstarter for new obliques for everyone

Also funny because when you are replacing a Yadier Molina with the ghost of AJ Pierzinski in October, not good. It's hard to imagine a bigger downgrade to the soul of a team. That being said, Baseball is so fucking weird, after 2006 I quit trying to make things logical about October

Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina (oblique) is day to day after playing catch Monday, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Manager Mike Matheny said Molina has been "watch and see," but the catcher threw well Monday and remains on the active roster for the National League Championship Series. However, Molina has yet to swing a bat and will likely need to clear that hurdle before being inserted into the lineup. Matheny refused to name a starting catcher for Tuesday's Game 3 action, but it's near certain A.J. Pierzynski will get the start against his former team.

Topics: Yadier Molina, Rumor, St. Louis Cardinals, MLB

The Gigantes knock around Lackey in the first for an early 4-0 lead. Not sure Matheny can wait for Lackey's turn at bat to get him out if there.

Not what the Cards needed with a already short bench.

Pitching in a game like this is why they traded for him. I couldn't stand him when he was in other uniforms, and I sure as hell hate him now. Keep yelling, John! That'll make 'em swing and miss!

 Yep. I saw that Peavy has never gone past the 6th in his postseason starts.

Seriously, fuck today's battery. Has there ever been two bigger douches paired together than Lackey and AJ?
