considering many media people continue to talk about Thomas Jones as if he is somehow a better running back than Cedric Benson, I am not sure ANY of them actually watched a Jets game this year.

Forget the yards issue, Jones is now running out of bounds on most plays and getting no yards.

You need a Jones type to make sure that pshyco Benson actually works. I said it in another post, I would love for Lovie to publicly state that he intends to get Peterson more carries. I don't even care if he gets him more, just make Benson THINK that he might get them. Benson will be a slacker until he is playing for his next contract.

Peterson is getting more carries. Guess what? He blows.

Why can't we give him the Rex Grossman First Year Starting break? Cmon!

Wasn't Jones a highly drafted rookie who also got paid alot of money and did very little in the league for 6 years? he of any person should have been understanding that benson was going to get the money and the job.

Also if you read that article, says Jones is showered and dressed when the media comes into the Locker room. I think that is 5 minutes? I guess I would want to get out to, if I made all this crap about being traded for money and I didn't get it done

It appears that the dislike Jones and Benson had for each other benefited both players. Benson doesn't have the fire he had last year trying to dislodge the starter and i think Jones, without the #1 pick pushing him, doesn't have the drive or motivation he had the previous two years.
