I remember a few deep bombs to Bernard Berrian during that run, and that's about it.

He went to the same Ohio State medical school as Robert Smith...both big talkers about their life aspirations that neither completed.

I think this should be categorized / limited by starters and then backups. Not fair to group Henry Burris with Cade McNown. Henry Burris and Jonathan Quinn were AWFUL, but never expected to be starters. Cade and Mirer were projected starters and failed miserably.

I'll never forget seeing a 20% Chris Chandler limping out to play with Henry Burris on the sideline. I believe this was in Champaign against the Patriots. After the game Angelo gave the excuse "he's a developmental Quarterback" as the reason he didn't see the field. Really, Jerry....that's called a practice squad!!

Burris was 3rd string, and probably never even drempt about ever seeing a snap on that squad.

As we have a few here that might not have had the honor of seeing Will Furrer or PT Willis chuck it.

I was in Plattville when PT was up there... some kid, probably about 13 or so, is just begging for PT to sign his football or hat or whatever it was... "Hey PT! Hey PT!" while the guy is still 30 yards away. PT walks probably two feet away from this kid, never looks at him, keeps on walking. Kid says "Oh who cares, you're gonna get cut anyway!" Everyone started laughing.

I didn't recall Evans being that bad - until I looked up his career stats:

12-20 record as a Bears starter; overall, though, had a 48.7 completion %, 31 TDs/53 Ints and a QB rating of 57.3  . He didn't fare much better with the Raidaahhhs, yet he was in the league for 15 years

Having said all that, I was wondering when someone was going to mention Bob Avellini. I knew he was awful, but at least slightly better than Evans - until I looked at his career stats (all with the Bear):

10 seasons, 73 games total/50 as the starter (he even started a game in '84 ); 560/1110 for a 50.5 comp %, 33 TDs / 69 Ints (yeesh), with a career QB rating of 54.8 :puker: :pukel:
