They shouldn't overpay him. They shouldn't care about what the Jazz did. If he doesn't take the same deal Taj took they should let him play out the season. He's not a $50M player.

Hell no he's not. I don't think I would give him the same deal Taj got even. He's a worse version of Tony Allen. That's not a $9M/year player.

Edit: Under the current cap I mean. If they can get a relatively good 4 year deal done now, they should probably do it because of how much better that deal will be 2 years from now.

I agree. He should be happy with $24-28 million over 4 years. He's a really good defender with a limited offensive game.
