A 57-year-old man is in critical condition after he was found beaten in a McCormick Place parking lot Sunday morning before a Chicago Bears game.

Shortly before 11 a.m. Sunday, officers got a call about a battery victim in the parking lot. The man was involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical, according to preliminary reports from the Chicago Police Department's Office of News Affairs.

The man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, said police.

Preliminary reports did not indicate where he lived, police said.

As of 11:06 a.m. Tuesday, no one was in custody for the attack. Area Central detectives are investigating.

Between this and offering 5 years to kill somebody you are batting 1.000 today, gd.

People start drinking at 6am for Bears games. Five hours later somebody mouths off and a fight starts. This is not a surprise, and likely happens at almost every NFL/College game.

I'm less likely to get punched in the fact at home! Score another one for not going to games!

I was in the South Lot. It was a pretty mellow crowd.
