He is doing a poor job of it then because Cutler is not on pace to throw for 35+ TDs this season either.

He's on pace for 34 TD's and 2 running TD's right?

Lets not pick nits

It's not picking nits. Nobody gives a shit about rushing touchdowns unless you are a Cam/Vick type of QB. Don't be Nas junior with trying to count them RPB. It's a bad, desperate look.

You need to take it easy. Im not a Cutler guy and Im not arguing for him.

Its just obvious what Nas was meaning with the 35 statement and I pointed it out.

He was on pace for something like 42 touchdowns a few weeks ago. If he stays healthy, he likely finishes around 30 touchdowns, with many other numbers not looking so good.

The next time he questions my thoughts don't use proof of 8 games that haven't even happened.

There is a reason Nas is ONLY using total touchdowns, especially right now when they have yet to have a bye week.

They did not saying exactly that, so you probably shouldn't have used quotes. I heard that segment as well.

W&S said Emery swings for the fences, and that sometimes you are going to strikeout- Shea, linebackers. Sometimes you hit a HR- Jeffrey, and possibly Fuller. They called Kyle Long a solid double so far. I don't disagree with any of that.

Cutler contract should count as a golden sombrero.

So Emery is 2-25 with a home run, a double, an almost-HR robbed by the defense(Fuller being hurt) and 22 strikeouts. Solid job so far.
They didn't say that either.

It's only obvious if you've seen Nas' posts. No one else counts those in a casual conversation.

Cutler is already seeing his pace decline, even with what happened yesterday which at least somewhat kept his pace up with the garbage touchdowns.

Jay has never thrown for 35 TDS

Cutler has 17 thru 8 games.

Pretty easy to see what he was driving at

I took him at his word, and his word was wrong. It's probably not a good idea to go inferring things from people they never said.

Fine, take it deadly serious then.

I couldn't be more relaxed.

I havent argued on Jay Cutler's behalf in years.

My point was it was easy to see what Nas was saying.

I think the fact that he's been posting the TD total all over the board constantly and the fact that 35+ (36) would be exactly double that total tells you what he was saying.

I dont condone the extrapolation, especially in the NFL, but that's what he was doing.

I dont think he'll keep up the pace at all and think NFL is the worst league to try and extrapolate stats.

Nas not looking too good needing Cutler to average almost 3 touchdowns for the last 8 games to win the 40 touchdown bet.

I am officially off the list of Cutler Apologists. I'm done. While the New England game was a collective display of crap by the whole team, Jay is simply not a quarterback that can put the team on his shoulders and carry them to victory. Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees can do that. The problem is the Bears paid Cutler like he's in the camp of the elite. He'll always be the million dollar arm with the $1 brain.

You are correct...it wasn't an exact quote, but rather paraphrasing. I should know better when discussing your beloved. Still, they did both say (again paraphrasing) that they thought Emery had done a solid job and that he wasn't the problem.

Don't let facts get in the way of his argument.
It wasn't an argument; it was a response to another post questioning if anyone was praising Emery. They most certainly did. It wasn't even a shot at them, but don't let the facts get in the way.

I jumped off the Cutler bandwagon after he dissed Tice. Tice didn't deserve that. We aren't going to win anything with him. I knew the Lions HC was going to get them to play less stupid.
I can't believe Emery gave him all that money.
