He would be the league MVP right now. Maybe a unanimous choice even.

Let's talk about each of his millions individually.

Denver's first million? Good!

I don't think benching him completely is the answer.

This is a bad thread. Everybody knows that how much you pay a guy should have no bearing on the expectations you have for said guy.

Agreed. Salary caps have no bearing on professional sports.

If he played for free the NFL would probably just waive the waiting period for the HoF.

I know. Too much caffeine without the weed to counteract it. Been a bad drug day for ol' Farvio!

Try smoking the caffeine and eating the weed.

Jay is paid the equivalent of $61,644.00 per day. Your god damn right the expectations are higher!

The money is irrelevant. This irrefutable post proves it:

If Russell Wilson cared about his legacy he would retire right now and be bigger than Jesus forever.
They would re name the league the RWFL.

Great point, actually. Russell Wilson is a great example of an efficient quarterback who allowed his team to spend money on defense. But if you don't like Super Bowls, he's not your guy.

Alright, but what about the rest of the team, and coaching? Lotsa fingers to point; don't get lazy pointing all of them at Jay.

Agreed. Salary caps have no bearing on professional sports.

I don't know why we even pay attention to these games... I just evaluate what the teams look like on paper at the beginning of the year and write a congratulatory letter to the GM who built the best team.

Congratulations! You just earned an expert spot on Boers And Bernstein! Would you prefer early afternoons or after Terry is asleep?

I also think Houston injuring his ACL was planned -- he saw that Tulloch got out of a year of work and gets to lay back and collect money all season. If you watch how other people have done it in the past, you just need to do a little leap and lock up your knees, then land with a twisting body motion and generally you'll get at least a good strain... probably at his size, a tear is pretty much automatic. Everyone knows it is one of those "freak things."
