We never mention him, but had he stayed healthy, the Bears would have had a perennially great defense. He was set to be an all-time great. He was as important as Urlacher.

DON'T FORGET MIKE BROWN ASSHOLES.

DON'T FORGET MIKE BROWN ASSHOLES.

He wasn't even close to as important as Urlacher, although I agree with your basic premise here.

That half season run he had in 2001 was unfuckingreal. At one point it felt like he got a walk off pick six in like 5 straight games.

A bit of hyperbole on my part, but Mike Brown was a HUGE part of that stellar defense. If Urlacher was 1A, Brown was 1B. I felt so bad for that guy. He was Ed Reed with tackling ability. And that is not hyperbole.

If you are suggesting he was better than Ed Reed then I am sorry but yes, it is hyperbole. Ed Reed is the best safety in the past 20 years. Mike Brown was not better.

A healthy Mike Brown would have been on par.

Mike Brown was the heart and soul of that Bears team. I loved him like I loved Kerry Wood. Neither could stay healthy. If Mike Brown were healthy the Bears would have beaten the Colts. You know why? He wouldn't have blown the coverage like fucking Danielle Manning did. Tank Johnson would have had the sack and the game would have been basically over.

Rex Grossman had 15 TDs.

Couldn't have said it better. Mike Brown had more intangibles than Stephen Hawking.

Some guys just dont have the disposition to play professional football. I'm sure Mike Brown would have been great at two hand touch though.

When I was an All-State linebacker in high school (yeah you heard me), we had a pic of Mike Brown with his GPA in my locker room. Makes me nostalgic.

Brown made some great plays with drama but Mark Carrier underrated.

Jerry would hire him as head coach if he owned the bears.

Don't know why I thought he went to Stanford. Did we have a safety that went to Stanford?

Maybe they can tell me what Trestman was talking about today. I didn't understand 1 thing he said about Cutler.

Brad Muster went to Stanford.

He got injured a lot like all our safeties. Maybe that's what you're thinking of?

He might be thinking of Steve Stenstrom, who by the way is better than any QB that ever went to the Stanford of the Southeast.

He retired because he kept getting concussions or he had an issue with his neck IIRC. I was very young but I was a fan.

They drafted a QB from Stanford named Turk something in the 80s. He played quite a while with Cleveland or Cincy.

Loved that guy. Ate licorice during the game, brushed his teeth between drives, wrote funny messages in the dirt. Crazy dude.

Mike Brown was an amazing player but he couldn't stay healthy enough to be on the field.
